Siemens Limited has informed the Exchange that it has fixed 7 April 2025 as the Record Date for the issuance and allotment of 1 fully paid-up equity share of Siemens Energy India Limited for every 1 equity share of Siemens Limited held by existing shareholders.

Due to this corporate action, please take note of the following impact on your F&O contracts:

• All Siemens Limited F&O contracts with expiry dates 24 April, 29 May, and 26 June, 2025, shall expire on 4 April, 2025, and will be physically settled as per Exchange rules.

• The Clearing Corporations will separately intimate the methodology of settlement.

• No fresh positions will be allowed in the F&O segment of Siemens Limited from 3 April 2025 onward.

• Siemens Limited positions with insufficient fund value or stock (in case of short positions) will be squared off anytime after 10 AM on 4 April, 2025, on a best-effort basis.

• Collateral margins on Siemens Limited will be subject to a 50% haircut from 4 April 2025 onward.

• All MTF positions in Siemens Limited will be squared off or converted to delivery, based on fund availability, post 10 AM on 4 April, 2025, on a best-effort basis.

• New F&O contracts on Siemens Limited (with expiry 24 April, 29 May, and 26 June, 2025) will be introduced from 7 April, 2025 onwards.

• The range of option strike prices available for trading from 7 April 2025, will be communicated via a separate circular on 4 April 2025, after market hours.

As per SEBI’s Quarterly Fund Settlement rule, any unused funds in your Upstox account will be automatically transferred to your registered bank account by Saturday, 5 April 2025.

To avoid the hassle of manually adding funds again, you can set up a ‘Fund Reversal’ mandate from the ‘Funds’ section in the latest version of the app: Funds Tab. This will ensure that the settled amount is seamlessly credited back to your Upstox account.

What you should do:
- Please check your bank statement to verify and view the returned funds
- To ensure seamless trading on Monday, 7 April 2025, please add funds to your Upstox account in advance. If you haven’t set up a reverse mandate, your account balance may be zero on that day. Know more: How can I transfer funds?
- If you're using NEFT/RTGS, please add Upstox as a beneficiary at least 24 hours in advance, ideally by Friday, 4 April. Below are the beneficiary details:

Starting 25 April 2025, F&O lot sizes of NIFTY BANK and NIFTY MID SELECT will be increasing as below:

Note: After April 24, 2025: If you hold F&O contracts in BANKNIFTY with expiries on 25 Sept 2025, 24 Dec 2025, or 26 Mar 2026 and the contracts do not match the new lot size, you will not be able to close the position. You will be required to hold it until expiry.
⚠️ Square off by 24 April 2025 to avoid any impact.

31 March 2025 is a Trading Holiday on account of Ramadan Eid, and 1 April 2025 is a Settlement Holiday for Annual Bank Closing. Due to this, please note the following:

🔹 Equity & Derivative Markets: Closed on 31 March; trading resumes on 1 April.

🔹 Commodity Market: Closed on 31 March (morning session); open from 5 PM – 11:30 PM

🔹 Currency Market: Closed on 31 March and 1 April

🔹 Fund Withdrawals:
- Standard requests placed after 8 AM on 28 March will be processed on 2 April.
- Instant fund withdrawals will be unavailable on 31 March & 1 April.

🔹Mutual Funds:
- Liquid and Debt Mutual Fund orders placed after 2 PM on 28 March, will be processed on 2 April
- Equity Mutual Fund Orders after 2 PM on 28 March, will be processed on 2 April.

🔹 Stock Holdings:
- Stocks bought on 28 March will not be available for selling on 1 April but will appear in holdings.
- The credit bill for all segments on 28 March will not be available for trading/withdrawal on 1 April.

💡Good To Know: Difference between settlement holiday and trading holiday
Settlement holidays are when markets are open, but the settlement of your trades does not occur as per the usual T+1 cycle because either the depositaries (NSDL and CDSL) are closed or banks are closed on that day.

Trading holidays are when markets are closed, and no trading or investing takes place on this day. Settlements also do not happen on this day.

Please note that all ITM & ATM NATURALGAS and NATGASMINI option contracts expiring today, 24th March 2025, will be converted into futures contracts. You can create fresh positions only until 9 PM today. To avoid the square-off of your positions, please ensure you maintain sufficient margin for the futures contracts before 9 PM today.
