Campus Activewear IPO opens today!
The IPO of the lifestyle-oriented sports and athleisure footwear company Campus Activewear opens today. The offering will be open for subscription until 28 April. The price band for the IPO has been set at ₹278 to ₹292 per share and the entire IPO is an offer for sale by existing shareholders.
The company manufactures and distributes affordable footwear. It sells through offline and online channels and works with over 400 distributors across 28 states. The listing is expected on 9 May. You can click here to subscribe to this IPO.
Auto stocks gaining speed
Shares of auto manufacturers like M&M, Eicher Motors, and Maruti have gained 5–15% so far in April as the semiconductor chip supply situation has been improving over the past few months. The demand has surged significantly as companies are ready to come out with new launches, which are seeing a huge waiting period.
On the other hand, some of the companies have also increased the prices of their vehicles on the back of an increase in the prices of commodities, such as steel and aluminium.
Oil falls amid demand concerns
As the Chinese city of Shanghai continued to remain under lockdown, crude oil prices fell by around 3% yesterday after a 5% fall last week. This was despite the supply disruptions due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis.
According to experts, the anticipated rate hike by the US Federal Reserve was an added reason.
The US central bank’s 50 basis-point interest hike could affect growth and oil demand.
