SUMMARY
The top five gainers on the NIFTY50 index were Adani Ports, NTPC, Adani Enterprises, Axis Bank, and SBI. The top five losers were Bharti Airtel, Hero MotoCorp, ITC, HDFC Life, and Sun Pharma.

The market breadth was in favour of gainers, as of 4,067 stocks traded on the BSE, 2,739 advanced, and 1,220 declined, while 108 scrips remained unchanged.
The S&P BSE SENSEX ended at 80,845.75, up 598 points, or 0.74%, while the NSE's NIFTY50 index ended at 24,442.05, up 166 points, or 0.68%.
Out of 50 constituents of the NIFTY50 index, 41 ended in the green and the rest nine in the red.
The market breadth was in favour of gainers, as of 4,067 stocks traded on the BSE, 2,739 advanced, and 1,220 declined, while 108 scrips remained unchanged.
As many as 251 scrips hit their 52-week highs while 13 stocks touched their 52-week lows.
Further, 458 shares hit their upper circuits and 178 hit their lower circuits.
Shares of HEG Ltd ended 13.84% higher at ₹498.85 apiece on the BSE, while Graphite India shares ended at ₹570.25, up 9.26%.
Shares of Solar Industries, a manufacturer of industrial explosives and defence products, rose 10% on Tuesday after securing export orders worth ₹2,039 crore. The stock rose as much as 10% to ₹11,597 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The stock, however, erased all its gains and ended at ₹10,493, down 0.47%.
Barring FMCG and telecom, all the sectoral indices ended in the green on the BSE. The biggest gainers were services counters, followed by utilities.
The BSE Services index was trading at 1,464.20 levels, up over 2%.
The BSE SmallCap index was trading at 56,237.47, up 575 points, or 1.03%, while the BSE MidCap index was trading at 46,982.17, up 427 points, or 0.92%.
