SUMMARY

The ₹582.11-crore Senores Pharmaceuticals IPO opened today for subscription. Ventive Hospitality Ltd launched its ₹1,600-crore IPO today. International Gemological Institute India shares were listed on Friday at a premium of 22.3% at ₹510 apiece on the NSE, compared to the IPO price of ₹417.

Primary market investors could not have asked for more, as they get to choose from 10 different public issues open for bidding on Friday, December 20. Out of these IPOs, eight of them are mainboard mainboard issues. As many as three mainboard initial public offerings opened for bidding on Friday.

International Gemmological Institute India Limited and Hamps Bio Limited also made market debuts on December 20.

Here’s a look at the major happenings of the day in the IPO space:

Ventive Hospitality IPO booked 71%

Ventive Hospitality Ltd launched its ₹1,600-crore IPO today. The 100% book-built issue is made up entirely of a fresh issuance of 2.49 crore shares.

On the first day of bidding the mainboard issue was booked 71% with bids for over 1.02 crore shares against 1.44 crore shares on offer. The retail portion was booked 61% while the Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) segment was booked 10%. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) quota was fully subscribed. The employees booked their portion 1.82 times.

The price band for the IPO has been fixed at ₹610 to ₹643 per share and the lot size for an application is 23. Bidding closes on December 24 and the listing is expected on December 30 on both the BSE and NSE.

Senores Pharmaceuticals IPO oversubscribed

The ₹582.11-crore Senores Pharmaceuticals IPO opened today for subscription. It is a book-built issue and comprises a combination of a fresh issue of 1.28 crore shares (aggregating to ₹500 crore) and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 21 lakh shares (aggregating to ₹82.11 crore).

On the first day, the IPO was subscribed 1.78 times. The retail investors portion was booked 7.19 times while the NIIs booked their quota 1.67 times. The QIBs subscribed only 1% of their allocation of over 45.93 lakh shares. The employees’ quota was booked 1.88 times.

The IPO price band has been set at ₹372 to ₹391 per share and the lot size for an application is 38. Bidding closes on December 24 and the listing is expected on December 30 on both BSE and NSE.

Carraro India IPO subscribed 9%

Carraro India Ltd was the third company to launch its IPO today. The ₹1,250-crore mainboard issue comprises entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 1.78 crore shares.

The IPO saw a muted demand on the first day with only 9% subscription. The QIBs segment received bids for only 294 shares while the NIIs booked their quota 6%. The retail category saw a subscription of 15%.

The IPO price band has been fixed at ₹668 to ₹704 per share and the lot size for an application is 21. Bidding closes on December 24 and the listing is expected on December 30 on both BSE and NSE.

How was Day 2 for the six IPOs launched on Thursday?

The ₹179.39-crore Mamata Machinery IPO was oversubscribed 37.75 times on the second day of bidding. The IPO price band has been fixed at ₹230 to ₹243 per share. Bidding closes on December 23 and the listing is expected on December 27 on both the BSE and NSE.

The ₹838.91-crore Transrail Lighting IPO was overall subscribed 5.31 times on the second day.

The price band for the IPO has been fixed at ₹410 to ₹432 per share and the lot size for an application is 34. Bidding closes on December 23 and the listing is expected on December 27 on both the BSE and NSE.

The ₹550-crore Sanathan Textiles IPO was fully subscribed on the second day. The price band for the IPO is set at ₹305 to ₹321 per share and the lot size for an application is 46. Bidding closes on December 23 and the listing is expected on December 27 on both BSE and NSE.
The ₹840.25-crore DAM Capital Advisors was oversubscribed nearly 7 times on Day 2. The IPO price band has been fixed at ₹269 to ₹283 per share and the lot size for an application is 53. Bidding closes on December 23 and the listing is expected on December 27 on both BSE and NSE.

The ₹500.33-crore Concord Enviro Systems IPO was also fully booked on Day 2 with an overall subscription of 1.24 times. The price band for the IPO is set at ₹665 to ₹701 per share and the lot size for an application is 21. Bidding closes on December 23 and the listing is expected on December 27 on both BSE and NSE.

Apart from the mainboard issues, the ₹41.76-crore SME IPO of Newmalayalam Steel Ltd was oversubscribed nearly 6 times at the end of bidding on the second day. The IPO price band has been fixed at ₹85 to ₹90 per share and the lot size is 1,600 shares. Bidding closes on December 23. The stock is likely to list on December 27 on the NSE Emerge platform.

Identical Brains Studios IPO Day 3

VFX services provider Identical Brains Studios Ltd, which launched its ₹19.95-crore SME IPO on Wednesday, saw huge demand on the last day of bidding. The IPO was booked over 544 times on the last day.

The share allotment of the IPO is expected to be finalised on December 23 and the stock is expected to list on the NSE Emerge platform on December 26.

2 IPOs make stellar debut

International Gemmological Institute India shares were listed on Friday at a premium of 22.3% at ₹510 apiece on the NSE, compared to the IPO price of ₹417. On the first day of trading, the stock settled 8.15% lower at ₹468.45 apiece. The stock had hit an intraday high of ₹525 apiece on the NSE.

On the other hand, Hamps Bio Ltd shares were listed at a premium of 90% on the BSE SME platform on Friday. The stock opened at ₹96.9 apiece, against the issue price of ₹51 per share, and further rallied as much as 5% to hit the upper circuit limit at ₹101.74 apiece.
