Jyothy Labs' Q4 PAT jumps 32%, operating revenue rises 7%

Jyothy Labs Q4 PAT jumps 32%, operating revenue rises 7%

Jyothy Labs on Wednesday reported a 32% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its fourth-quarter net profit at ₹78.2 crore. Shares of the company closed nearly 4% lower on Wednesday.

Revenue from operations rose 7% YoY to ₹660 crore during the quarter while operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 18.8% to ₹108.4.

For the fiscal year 2024, revenue from operations grew 11% to ₹2,757 crore while operating EBITDA rose 52% to ₹479.8 crore. Net profit shot up 54% to the highest-ever figure of ₹369 crore during the year.

MR Jyothy, Chairperson and Managing Director of Jyothy Labs, said the company achieved strong quarterly and annual performance with growing profitability.

“We continue to focus on innovation, invest in our brands, expand distribution with the aid of technology and be future-ready. With the rise of disposable incomes, we believe there exists an immense future potential in the categories in which we are present. We would always strive to offer the best value to our consumers and all stakeholders,” Jyothy said.

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of ₹3.5 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2024. It appointed MR Jyothy as the chairperson of the board with effect from May 15, 2024.

The firm pointed out that fabric care sales increased by 10% YoY in Q4FY24 and 12.6% for the full year. At the same time, dishwashing sales increased by 6% for the quarter and 8.3% for the full year. Personal care sales rose 18% YoY during Q4 and 21.1% for the full year and household insecticide sales are down 9.8% for the quarter while remaining flat for the year.

Jyothy Labs is a fast-moving consumer goods company that owns brands like Ujala, Maxo, Exo, Henko, Pril, Margo, Mr. White, T-Shine, Neem, Maya and MoreLight.

Shares of the company have lost about 8% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained over 111% in the last one year.
