Gold prices rebounded by ₹670 per 10 grams in major Indian cities in early trade on Wednesday, October 30, driven by festive demand on Dhanteras Day. Gold prices rose to ₹80,460 per 10 gm in Mumbai and ₹80,610 in Delhi following a pick up in the sales of the yellow metal on Dhanteras on Tuesday.

According to experts, gold prices are expected to gain further on Wednesday as sales pick up amidst the Dhanteras festivities. Dhanteras is considered an auspicious day for buying gold and silver. It’s believed that buying precious metals on Dhanteras brings wealth and prosperity.

Spot gold was trading near all-time high levels at $2,780 an ounce, up by 0.22%, in Asian trade. The metal hit a record high of $2,782 an ounce in overnight trade.
