Gold prices slipped by ₹20 per 10 grams in major Indian cities on Friday, December 13, due to a firm US dollar ahead of the Federal Reserve decision on interest rates next week.

The precious metal slipped below the $2,700 an ounce level in overnight trade, capped by the gold’s two-day gains in local markets. Investors are awaiting the US Fed's decision on policy rates next week before making a move.

Spot gold was marginally up $2,686 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved in a range from $2,679 an ounce to $2,692 an ounce in overnight trade.

Silver Price Today in India (December 13, 2024)

Silver prices rebounded by ₹1,200 to ₹96,600 per kg in major Indian cities in early trade on Thursday mainly due to pick up in demand from coin makers and industrial units. The white metal retreated in global markets which capped its gains in the local markets.

Spot silver dropped by 0.19% to $30.92 an ounce in global markets. In overnight trade, the metal hit a high of $31.10 an ounce and a low of $30.87 an ounce.
