Gold prices slipped by ₹180 per 10 grams in major Indian cities in early trade on Friday, November 29, amid mixed global trends. While a correction in the US dollar index following easing rhetoric on tariff hikes supported the precious metal, weak local demand capped its gains.

Expectations that the US Federal Reserve may be cautious about further rate cuts also weighed on gold sentiment. The US dollar index retreated to 105.94.

Spot gold traded up 0.29% to $2,645 an ounce in early Asian trade. In overnight trade, the metal moved in a narrow range from $2,634 an ounce to $2,647 an ounce.

Silver prices remained flat at ₹89,400 per kg in major Indian cities for the second straight day on Friday. While weak demand from industrial units capped gains, firm global trends supported the white metal.

Spot Silver was up 0.50% to $30.42 an ounce in global markets. The metal hit a high of $30.44 an ounce and a low of $30.14 an ounce in overnight trade.
