Gold and silver price on Jan 13: Check 22 and 24-carat gold rates in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata

Snapping the three-day gaining streak, gold prices slipped ₹10 per 10 grams in early trade on Monday to weak domestic demand.

In major Indian cities, 24K gold is trading at ₹79,630 per 10 grams. Weak global trends also impacted local prices.

Spot gold declined by 0.13% to $2,686 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $2,679 an ounce to $2,693 an ounce in early trade. The precious metal had gained around 0.70% on Friday to trade above $2,690 an ounce despite strong US jobs data and challenges on Fed rate cuts.

However, a strong US dollar index in early Monday trade hit the appeal of safe-haven assets like gold and silver.

In Delhi markets, 24K gold prices slipped by ₹10 to ₹79,790 per 10 grams and 22K gold to ₹73,140 per 10 grams. The 24K Gold in Mumbai traded at ₹79,630 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹72,990 per 10 grams.

Silver Price Today in India (January 13, 2025)

Silver prices declined by ₹100 to ₹93,400 per kg in major Indian cities on Monday as the precious metal fell more than 0.50% in global markets. A strong US dollar hit the metal appeal as a hedge against inflation.

Spot Silver declined by 0.62% to $30.21 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $30.21 an ounce and $30.51 an ounce in early trade.

Comparison of Gold and Silver Prices This Week

Gold prices opened the week on a weak note amid a decline in global markets due to a strong dollar. Following overnight gains in global markets, gold spurted by ₹420 per 10 grams on Saturday.

Silver prices also slipped to start the week on a lower tone in line with global cues. Silver had increased by ₹1,100 per kg on Saturday.
