    Tata Chemicals has raised ₹1,700 crore through the issue of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) to investors on a private placement basis.

    In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, Tata Chemicals said an internal Committee, constituted by its board, has approved the allotment of 1,70,000 NCDs, having a face value Rs 1 lakh each for cash, aggregating to ₹1,700 crore, for a tenor of 3 years, to identified investors on private placement basis.

    Rising for the fourth straight quarter, India's traditional PC market -- comprising desktops, notebooks, and workstations -- reported a 7.1% growth in shipments to 3.39 million units in April-June this year, market research firm IDC said on Monday.

    According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, HP led the PC market with 31.7% share.

    It was followed by Lenovo with 17.5%, Dell with 14.8%, Acer Group with 14.7% and Asus with 7.1%, according to the report.
