⭐ IEX trading volumes dip
Trading volumes on Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) dipped 18% year-on-year to 7,805 million units (MU) in August 2022. The exchange highlighted that the supply side issues remained due to high prices of imported coal, fuel shortage and increased e-auction price.
⭐ Matrimony.com launches new platform
Matrimony service provider has launched a matchmaking platform called RainbowLuv for the LGBTQIA+ community. The company is, reportedly, eyeing the 80-150 lakh user market. It also believes that the service could find better response from smaller cities where the community meetup opportunities are lesser compared to metro cities.
⭐ OPEC to cut oil output
For the first time in a year, OPEC agreed to cut oil output. The move is aimed to stabilise international crude oil prices which have been on a decline over the last three months. Global economic slowdown had a negative impact on crude prices. OPEC will reduce production by 100,000 barrels per day in October. OPEC will meet next on 5 October.
