The MCX has revised expiry dates of commodity futures contracts expiring on Monday, 31 March 2025.

This change is due to a trading holiday on Monday, 31 March 2025, in observance of Eid-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Eid).

These contracts will now expire on Friday, 28 March 2025, instead of the originally scheduled Monday, 31 March 2025.

Keep in mind:

Although the Market Watch Screen will continue to show the existing Expiry Date of 31 March 2025, trading in these commodity contracts will only be available till Friday, 28 March 2025.

Starting 4 April 2025, NSE is shifting its F&O expiry schedule from Thursdays to Mondays.

📅 New Expiry Days:
✔ NIFTY Weekly Expiry → Every Monday
✔ NIFTY, BANKNIFTY & Stock F&O (Monthly & Quarterly) Expiry → Last Monday of the Month

This change could impact your trading strategy—so plan your trades accordingly!

MCX will revise its trading hours from Monday, March 10, 2025, on account of the change in US daylight saving timings.

The revised trading hours shall be as under:

All MCX Intraday positions will be squared-off at 11.00 P.M.

On account of Mahashivratri, Wednesday, 26 February 2025 is a Trading Holiday.

Due to this, keep the following impact in mind:

🔸Equity and Derivative will be closed on 26 February. Trading will resume on 27 February
🔸Commodities Market will be closed on 26 February (morning session) but will operate as usual from 5 PM - 11:55 PM.
🔸Standard Fund Withdrawal requests placed after 8 AM on 25 February will be processed on
27 February
🔸Instant Fund Withdrawal facility will not be available on 26 February

Please note, the following securities will be removed from SEBI’s list of approved securities for Margin Pledge.

As a result, you will not receive margins for F&O trading against these scrips starting Friday, 28 February 2025: Click here for scrip details

NOTE: If you have pledged any of the above, starting 28 February 2025, you will not receive margins pledge benefit and you will be required to fulfil the full margin requirement. If you’re unable to pay, we will have to automatically square off your positions to recover the amount by 3 March 2025.
