Premier Energies, Waaree Energies, Adani Green: How renewable energy stocks are performing on May 18

On the contrary, shares of Premier Energies were trading in the green after a robust set of numbers for the quarter ended March 2026.

Premier Energies share price

The stock was trading 0.70% higher at ₹988.50 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 11:17 am.

Premier Energies reported a 64.44% increase in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to ₹456.83 crore in the March quarter of the financial year 2025-26, compared to ₹277.80 crore a year back.

Its revenue from operations climbed 37.60% to ₹2,230.3 crore in Q4 FY26 as against ₹1,620.83 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The company's also gave its nod to a proposal to raise up to ₹5,000 crore by issuance of equity shares, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) with warrants, or other eligible securities convertible into shares.

The fundraising may be "carried out by way of one or more qualified institutional placements (QIPs) or through any other permissible mode and/or combination thereof as may be considered appropriate under applicable law, subject to such regulatory/statutory approvals as may be required and the approval of shareholders of the company."

Waaree Energies share price

Shares of Waaree Energies were trading 0.83% lower at ₹2,997 per unit on the NSE.

On May 15, the company had informed that its wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Power Private Limited has completed the acquisition of 100% equity stake in Waaree Semicon Pvt Ltd for a total consideration of ₹1 lakh. Consequently, WSPL has become a step down unit of the company, it said.

Adani Green Energy share price

The stock of Adani Green Energy was trading 3.08% lower at ₹1,336.50 per unit on the NSE.

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹1,471 per share on May 15, 2026, while its 52-week low of ₹765 apiece was recorded on January 23, 2026.

The stock has declined 4.11% in the past week, while it has gained 18.03% in a month. Year-to-date, it has gained 29.70%.

NTPC Green Energy share price

Shares of NTPC Green Energy were down 1.5% to ₹106.37 apiece on the NSE. On May 14, the company had declared commercial operations of two step-down subsidiaries of its joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Pvt Ltd.
