GPT Infraprojects shares jump 9% on securing second order from RVNL in Sept worth ₹484 crore

GPT Infraprojects shares gained as much as 8.5% to touch an intraday high of ₹123.32 apiece on Friday, September 18, a day after the company bagged a bridge project from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) Bhubaneswar.

The ₹483.72 crore order includes the construction of Bridge 544, an open-web steel girder bridge over the Mahanadi River. The project is part of the construction of the third and fourth railway lines between the Nergundi-Barang section in the Khurda Road division of East Coast Railway.

The project is expected to be completed in 1,095 days.

Following this order, GPT Infraprojects’ outstanding order book stands at ₹4,992 crore with a total order inflow for fiscal year 2027 at ₹818 crore. “The Company has strong project execution capabilities, a healthy financial base, and enviable growth prospects across all areas of operation,” it said in a statement.

By the end of the June quarter of the current fiscal year, GPT Infraprojects’ order inflow was ₹130 crore, including incremental orders from existing contracts. Its order backlog, however, remained healthy at ₹4,303 crore.

This is the second order from RVNL to the infrastructure major in September 2026. Earlier in the month, GPT Infraprojects had secured an order worth ₹484 crore from RVNL for the construction of Bridge 544 (32x65.84 m), an open web steel girder bridge over the Mahanadi River at Ch. 406305 m.

The bridge is part of the construction of the third and fourth railway lines between the Nergundi-Barang section in the Khurda Road Division of the East Coast Railway.

GPT Infraprojects Q1 FY27 earnings

GPT Infraprojects had reported a 3.4% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated revenue from operations to ₹302 crore in Q1 FY27. Its consolidated EBITDA increased 28.4% YoY to ₹47.5 crore, while the EBITDA margin came in at 15.7%.

The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) after minorities rose 4.9% YoY to ₹24.6 crore, while the PAT margin stood at 8.2%.

On a standalone basis, revenue stood at ₹282.1 crore, down 9% YoY, while PAT declined marginally by 1.1% YoY to ₹22.3 crore.

GPT Infraprojects share price trends

At 10:18 AM, GPT Infraprojects shares were seen at ₹118.61 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, surging 4.45%.

From the beginning of the year, GPT Infraprojects shares have climbed 4%. Over a month’s time, the stock has slipped 1%, while for a six-month period, it has surged 9%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹150 on June 23, 2026, and a 52-week low of ₹96.22 on March 30, 2025.

According to NSE data, as of September 17, 2026, GPT Infraprojects has a total market capitalisation of ₹1,435 crore.
