The Navratna defence firm secured additional orders worth ₹648 crore since the last disclosure on August 26, 2026.
“Major orders received include laser-based IR jammer, communication equipment, cyber security solution, thermal imager, transducer, AI-based software solution, TR modules, upgrades, spares, services, etc,” said BEL in a regulatory filing.
On August 26, Bharat Electronics secured an additional order for ₹730 crore that included communication equipment, radar, avionics, tank subsystem, electro optics, cyber security, perimeter security, medical electronics, EVM, jammers, batteries, spares, services and more.
On August 10, the company had bagged an additional order worth ₹541 crore which included communication equipment, electro optics, ammunition fuzes, Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) systems, spares, services, etc.
Further, on July 31, 2026, the firm had bagged a major additional order worth ₹847 crore, which included electro optics, security operation centre, seekers, components, spares, services and more.
BEL posted a 9% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹1,054.34 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, compared year-on-year (YoY) with ₹969.91 crore in the same period a year earlier.
The company’s revenue from core operations surged 25% YoY to ₹5,546.98 crore in the June quarter of the current fiscal year, compared with ₹4,439.74 crore in the same period a year earlier.
As of July 1, 2026, BEL’s order book position stood at ₹72,258 crore.
As per the consolidated financial statements, BEL’s cost of materials surged 55% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹3,041.23 crore in the April-to-June quarter of the financial year 2026-27, from ₹1,960.84 crore in the same period a year earlier.
On a sequential basis, the company’s cost of materials has dropped 58% to its June quarter levels, when compared to ₹4,793.87 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
Bharat Electronics increased its authorised share capital to ₹1,000 crore, subject to the approval of the shareholders, from the ₹750 crore level.
On Thursday, Bharat Electronics shares ended at ₹395.45 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, rising 2.51%.
