SUMMARY
Sun Pharmaceuticals, Bharti Airtel, Dr Reddy's, and Maruti Suzuki were among the other top movers on the benchmark indices as of the trading close on July 9, as investors focused on buying after a crash amid weak global cues.

The NIFTY50 index closed 0.34% or 80.75 points higher at 23,962.80 points after the trading session on Thursday, compared to 23,882.05 points at the previous market close, according to NSE data.
The BSE SENSEX index ended 0.31% or 238.22 points higher at 76,741.82 points after Thursday’s trading session, compared to 776,503.60 points at the previous stock market close, as per the exchange data.
Stocks like Sun Pharmaceuticals, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finserv, InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), Eternal, Grasim Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Shriram Finance, were among the top losers on the NIFTY50 index as of the stock market close on Thursday.
Sun Pharma gained 2.7%, Bharti Airtel gained 2.5%, Bajaj Finserv gained 2.3%, IndiGo gained 1%, Eternal gained 2%, Grasim Industries gained 2%, Kotak Mahindra Bank gained 2%, and Shriram Finance gained 2% as of the stock market close on July 9.
While other stocks like Dr Reddy’s, Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, NTPC, ONGC, Eicher Motors, Hindalco, Bajaj Finance, and HDFC Life Insurance were among the top laggards on the stock exchnage on Thursday.
Dr Reddy’s lost 5.7%, Maruti Suzuki lost 1.7%, Infosys lost 1.4%, NTPC lost 1.2%, ONGC lost 1.4%, Eicher Motors lost 1%, Hindalco lost 1%, Bajaj Finance lost 0.7%, and HDFC Life Insurance lost 0.5% on July 9.
NSE data showed that out of the 50 stocks listed on the benchmark NIFTY50 index, 33 stocks closed in the green zone, while the remaining 17 stocks ended in the negative territory after the stock market close.
Stocks like Kalyan Jewellers up 17.5%, Swiggy up 7.8%, GE Vernova up 4.4%, Premier Energies up 4.4%, Dixon Tech up 4.1%, Tata Investment Corp. up 3.6%, Motilal Oswal Financial up 3.6%, and Billionbrains Garage Ventures (Groww) up 3.4% were among the top gainers on the Nifty Midcap 100 index.
While others like Page Industries lost 2.6%, Oil India lost 1.8%, Astral lost 1.6%, Polycab India lost 1.6%, APL Apollo Tubes lost 1.3%, Havells India lost 1.1%, and KPI Tech lost 1.1% on July 9.
On the small-cap front, stocks like Capri Global up 7.8%, Kaynes Technology India up 7.3%, Brigade Enterprises up 6.3%, IIFL up 5.6%, Nuvama up 5.3%, Physicswallah up 5%, and Signature Global India up 4.8% after the trading session on July 9.
Others like BLS International down 3.7%, Ola Electric down 1.4%, Brainbees Solutions down 1.4%, Gland Pharma down 1.2%, and Cholamandalam Financial down 0.8%, were among the top smallcap losers after Thursday’s trading session.
