The Indian stock market was trading flat in the afternoon session on Monday, August 17, as IT and FMCG stocks traded lower while the investor sentiment remained cautious, tracking higher crude prices in the global markets.
The benchmark equity indices, however, recovered from their day’s low.
As the shares hit their lower circuit, trading has been suspended so far till the company's shares recover from upcoming potential buy orders in the market.
The IT solutions and software-as-a-service provider recorded a 33% fall in its net profit (attributable to owners) to around ₹18 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, in comparison to ₹26 crore in the same period a year earlier.
While the SaaS company’s EBITDA margins contracted to 7.29% in the first quarter of FY27 from 9.18% in the same period a year earlier, as per the data collected from the financial statements.
Shares of Vikram Solar rallied 14% to touch an intraday high of ₹182 apiece on Monday as investors gained confidence following its inauguration of a new manufacturing plant last week.
Vikram Solar on Friday announced the inauguration of a 6-gigawatt solar module manufacturing plant at Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru C Joseph Vijay virtually inaugurated the facility as part of a state-level programme held in Chennai, the company had said in a statement.
The 6-GW solar module manufacturing plant is expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 800 skilled professionals in the region, Vikram Solar said. The company further said that it also plans to establish 9 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity by FY27.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) shares recovered from their day’s low after the infrastructure major on Monday said it has bagged an ultra-mega order in the Middle East.
Worth over ₹15,000 crore, the company’s subsidiary L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) secured an order from a Middle East client, which involves the development of multiple offshore facilities.
LTEH Offshore will execute the project scope encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of offshore facilities. A significant portion of the fabrication activities will be carried out at L&T's integrated manufacturing and fabrication facilities.
Shares of the jewellery retailer rose over 2% to an intraday high of ₹621.80 apiece after the company shared the record date for the final dividend.
Kalyan Jewellers has fixed September 12, 2026, as the record date for determining the eligibility of equity shareholders for the final dividend and participation in the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The company’s Board of Directors had recommended a final dividend of 25% of the face value of the equity shares, amounting to ₹2.50 per share. The company also informed that it would hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 19, 2026.

BSE's revenues from domestic proprietary traders, which account for around 50% of notional turnover, could be at risk due to headwinds from the STT hike, RBI bank guarantee (BG) norms, and the Closing Auction Session (CAS).
Notably, BSE's options ADTO MTD in August 2026 are down 12% vs July 2026. While consensus expects SENSEX to gain further market share, BSE's expiry-day market share is similar to NSE, while market share gains outside T-0/T-1 days have slowed.
Jefferies has therefore cut FY27-29E EPS by 5-12%, with the stock trading at 44x 1-year forward EPS.

Sky Gold also said it turned operating cash flow positive during the current quarter, a step it described as improving working capital discipline. The company said it remains focused on balancing business expansion with profitability and cash flow generation.
Shares of auto components maker Dhoot Transmission Ltd made a robust listing on the stock exchanges on Monday. The stock debuted at ₹1,200 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a premium of 37.77% over the IPO issue price of ₹871 per share.
On the BSE, it started trading at ₹1,193.80 apiece, up 37.06% from the issue price.
The ₹3,066.89 crore initial public offering was a combination of new shares valued at ₹1,400 crore and an offer for sale component of ₹1,666.89 crore by the company's promoters BC Asia Investments XV and Mangalam Capital Pvt Ltd.
The initial share sale was subscribed 74.21 times, as it attracted bids for 1,85,19,71,585 shares compared to 2,49,56,363 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.
