L&T shares rise on bagging order worth ₹10,000-15,000 crore to build NVIDIA B300 AI Factory; key details to know

L&T share price: Shares of EPC major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) were trading in the green zone on Thursday, August 13, as Vyoma.AI, an L&T company, through its AI infrastructure subsidiary LTN Compute, bagged a mega order as part of a strategic partnership with Together AI to build India’s largest NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for a US-based AI cloud innovator.

According to L&T’s order classification lexicon, a mega order means a contract valued between ₹10,000 and ₹15,000 crore.

The order marks the EPC major’s foray into AI Factory business, with L&T deploying NVIDIA B300 infrastructure at its Chennai data centre campus to power Together AI’s AI-native cloud platform for large-scale training and inference.

The AI Factory will power an AI Native cloud platform for large-scale inference, fine-tuning and training workloads, strengthening India's AI infrastructure ecosystem while supporting global innovation, as per a regulatory filing.

The integrated AI Factory, with a capacity of 10,000 B300 NVIDIA GPUs, will be hosted at Vyoma’s Chennai data centre.

The platform, as per the filing, combines hyperscale data centre infrastructure, accelerated computing, high-performance networking, ultra-low-latency interconnects, high-throughput parallel storage and AI infrastructure operations, “enabling customers to seamlessly deploy and scale AI workloads through a unified, end-to-end AI infrastructure stack”.

As per L&T, Vyoma's Chennai data centre campus has a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site, with Phase 1 designed for 250 megawatts (MW) and power infrastructure readiness of 150 megavolt-ampere (MVA).

Commenting on the development, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director of L&T, said: “Artificial Intelligence is becoming foundational to every industry and AI Factories will power this transformation. Our deployment of an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for Together AI marks a significant milestone in L&T's Gigawatt AI Infrastructure Mission and reinforces our commitment to making India a global hub for next-generation AI infrastructure.”

L&T stock performance

Shares of L&T advanced as much as 1.18% to hit an intraday high of ₹4,067.60 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, August 13, compared with the closing price of ₹4,020 apiece in Wednesday’s session.

At around 2:48 PM, the scrip was trading 0.49% higher at ₹4,039.60 per equity share. It has gained 3% over the month but lost more than 2% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹4,440 apiece on February 24, 2026, it touched a year’s low of ₹3,288.10 on March 23, 2026.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has a total market capitalisation of ₹5.56 lakh crore as of August 13, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
