The IT-enabled services company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹56 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27), registering a growth of 19% from ₹47 crore during the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations increased 24% for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, to ₹1,718 crore as against ₹1,387 crore in the year-ago period.

The company posted a jump in operational performance in Q1 as its operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), rose 40% to ₹149 crore from ₹106 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Its operating profit margin, also known as EBITDA margin, expanded to 8.64% from 7.64% in the corresponding period last year.

Black Box, in a statement, said that it is entering a new phase of scale, supported by a stronger business foundation, deeper global customer relationships and growing participation in the infrastructure powering the AI economy.

“Following several years of transformation, the Company has strengthened its financial position, execution capabilities and global delivery platform, positioning it to pursue larger, more complex and mission-critical digital infrastructure programs,” it added.

Order book details

Black Box said that its growing order book and backlog, experienced leadership, industry tailwinds and capabilities in executing large-scale global projects position the company to capture a larger share of the market and provide a pathway towards its targeted revenue of $2 billion by FY30.

During the quarter, the company added a new global hyperscaler through a $131 million (~₹1,240 crore) order, while continuing to expand its relationship with an existing hyperscaler.

Black Box’s order momentum is expected to strengthen through FY27. The firm expects $1.3–1.5 billion of order bookings, representing growth of approximately 32–45% over FY26, and expects to exit FY27 with an order backlog of $1.3–1.4 billion, an increase of approximately 65–75% YoY.

“Q1 demonstrates the improving financial quality of the business, with EBITDA growth outpacing revenue growth and margins expanding by 90 bps. The increasing scale, quality and duration of our order book create a stronger base for growth and enhance revenue visibility,” said Deepak Kumar Bansal, Executive Director and Global CFO, Black Box.

Record date

The board of directors of Black Box has also fixed August 28, 2026, as the record date to determine the eligibility of beneficial owners/shareholders to receive the final dividend for FY26, subject to approval by the members at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The company has also fixed September 9, 2026, as the cut-off date to determine the shareholders eligible to vote on the proposed resolutions at the AGM.

Black Box fresh order

The digital infrastructure solutions firm secured a $131 million (~₹1,240 crore) order with a new US-based global Tier-1 hyperscaler for a major data centre project in the US.

Under the engagement, Black Box will deliver work at a key location in the US over approximately a three-year period, with further expansion expected in due course.

The win marks a significant breakthrough for Black Box in the US hyperscaler market, adding a net-new marquee customer to its growing hyperscaler portfolio.
