JSW Energy share price: Leading power producer JSW Energy on Monday, May 18, announced the sale of 2.5 crore equity shares in JSW Steel for ₹3,150 crore via a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.

Post-transaction, the company's balance holding is 4,50,38,350 equity shares of JSW Steel Ltd, a regulatory filing said.

According to the filing, the company has divested 2,50,00,000 shares (face value ₹1 each) of JSW Steel Ltd through a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd on May 18, as part of a strategic liquidity release, realising gross proceeds of ₹3,150 crore.

The monetisation of a part of the shareholding in JSW Steel Ltd not only releases capital for pursuing the company's growth strategy but also improves return on capital employed, reinforcing the company's commitment to disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for shareholders, it added.

The stock settled 2.9% higher at ₹530 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹585.65 per share on April 28, 2026, while its 52-week low of ₹427.75 apiece was recorded on January 27, 2026.

The stock has declined 4.61% in the past week and 1.31% in a month. Year-to-date, it has gained 5.78%.

JSW Energy Q4 results

JSW Energy reported over a 38% surge in its consolidated profit after tax to ₹574 crore in the January-March quarter of the financial year 2025-26. In the year-ago period, post-tax profit was at ₹415 crore.

Total revenue climbed 39% to ₹4,851 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to ₹3,497 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In a statement, the company said that its EBITDA grew 72% year-on-year to ₹2,602 crore aided by contributions from Mahanadi, O2 Power, and organic capacity additions.

Installed capacity advanced by 118 MW during the quarter under review to 13.45 GW, driven by organic renewable capacity addition.
