Adani Green Energy shares in focus as arm operationalises 139 MW solar power project in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy share price: Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd are expected to be in the spotlight on Wednesday, September 2, as the company’s wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A Ltd, operationalised a 139 megawatt (MW) solar power project in Khavda, Gujarat.

According to a regulatory filing on Tuesday, the company said that based on the releval celarnance, it was decided at 2.05 p.m. on September 1, 2026 to commercially operationalise this plant.

With the operationalisation of this project, Adani Green Energy has achieved a total operational renewable generation capacity of 20,280.80 MW and total operational battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity of 3,551 megawatts per hour (MWh).

Adani Green Energy Q1 results

The renewable energy player company reported a 19.30% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit to ₹983 crore in the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹824 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

Its revenue from operations in the June quarter of FY27 increased by 16.6% YoY to ₹4,431 crore, as against ₹3,800 crore in the year-ago period.

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, stood at ₹3,985 crore during the quarter, reflecting a 9.88% YoY increase from ₹3,042 crore in the June quarter of FY26.

Its EBITDA margin expanded to 90% in Q1 FY27, from 80% in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Adani Green Energy stock performance

Shares of Adani Green Energy closed 4.12% higher at ₹1,265 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, September 1, amid a surge in Adani group stocks.

Most of the Adani Group stocks were trading higher on Tuesday, September 1, a day after the group stocks witnessed a steep fall. The surge in Adani stocks comes following the MSCI index reshuffle.

The scrip has lost 5% in the past week and more than 8% over the month. However, on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has soared 23%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹1,631.50 per equity share on June July 14, 2026, it touched a year’s low of ₹765 apiece on January 23, 2026.
