Dr. Lal Path Labs Q1 results: Pharma major Dr. Lal Path Labs reported its earnings for the April-June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27) on Friday, July 24.

The company posted a 28.02% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit (attributable to the owners of the company) to ₹169.5 crore during the quarter under review, compared with ₹132.4 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26), according to a regulatory filing.

Its revenue from operations jumped 19.10% YoY to ₹797.7 crore in the first quarter of FY26, as against ₹669.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal year.

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, stood at ₹2,475 crore for the reporting quarter, marking a 28.71% YoY increase from ₹1,923 crore in Q1 FY26.

Its EBITDA margin expanded by 230 basis points (bps) to 31% in the June FY27 quarter, from 28.7% in the year-ago period.

Interim dividend declared; check record date

Dr. Lal Path Labs’ board of directors also approved the declaration of an interim dividend of ₹5 per equity share, at 50% on a face value of ₹10 each, for FY27.

Furthermore, the firm’s board also fixed July 30, 2026, as the record date for the interim dividend.

“The Interim Dividend will be paid within 30 days of its declaration,” it said.

Acquisitions

The board of Dr. Lal Path Labs’ wholly owned subsidiary, Dr Lal PathLabs FZCO, Dubai, approved the acquisition of a stake in Sunshine Healthcare Limited (SHL), Ghana.

It will acquire a 100% stake from the existing shareholder of SHL in three tranches, such that it will acquire 80% in the first tranche, 10% in the second and the remaining 10% in the third.

The proposed investment will be up to GHS 45.6 million (or ₹38 crore) for an 80% stake to be acquired in the first tranche.

“The closing with respect to the investment of the first tranche is expected to be completed by August 31, 2026 or such other date mutually agreed between the parties,” it stated.

Furthermore, the board of another one of Dr. Lal Path Labs’ wholly owned subsidiary, Dr. Lal Ventures Private Limited, approved subscribing to a 30% stake in one or more tranches in Neuome Technologies Private Limited (Neuome).

The proposed investment will be up to ₹3.5 crore for subscription of 30% stake.

Dr. Lal Path Labs stock performance

Shares of Dr. Lal Path Labs climbed as much as 2.54% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,729.90 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, following the declaration of the results.

At around 2:21 PM, the scrip was trading at ₹1,710.50 per equity share, up by 1.39%.

The stock has jumped nearly 1% in the past week and 2% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has climbed 12%.

While the share hit a 52-week high of ₹1,803 apiece on June 16, 2026, it touched a year’s low of ₹1,272.60 on March 23, 2026.
