V-Mart Retail Q1 FY27 results: Net profit grows 38%; revenue grows to ₹1,089 crore YoY

V-Mart Retail reported a 38% year-on-year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit at ₹47 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on Friday, July 24. In the corresponding quarter last year, the company had posted a net profit of ₹34 crore.

For the quarter under review, the company’s revenue from operations increased 23% YoY to ₹1,089 crore as compared to ₹885 crore in Q1 FY26.

On the operational level, V-Mart Retail’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹161 crore, marking a jump of 28% from ₹126 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s EBITDA margin expanded marginally to 14.78% in contrast to 14.24% YoY.

Ahead of the earnings, V-Mart shares were trading at ₹4.2% to touch an intraday high of ₹792.30 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. However, the stock slipped post earnings. At 1:50 PM, V-Mart Retail shares were seen at ₹753.45 apiece, falling 0.82%.

The stock had touched an intraday low of ₹741 per share.

Q1 business updates

It recorded over a 9% YoY increase in its same-store sales growth (SSSG) in the June quarter of FY27, with V-Mart at over 8% and Unlimited at more than 13%.

During Q1 FY27, the company opened 15 stores and closed one store, resulting in a total operating portfolio of 591 stores as of June 30, 2026.

The new 15 stores included seven stores in Uttar Pradesh, two in Uttarakhand, and one store each in Gujarat, Jharkhand, New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.

New appointment

Along with the earnings, the V-Mart board of directors has also approved the appointment of Suraj Rathor as Head of Finance with effect from July 24, 2026.

Rathor has been a finance leader with over 15 years of experience across retail, F&B, and FMCG sectors, the company said in a statement. “Suraj joined V-Mart in 2023 as the Head of FP&A, and ever since has been leading financial controllership, strategic planning, analytics, financial reporting, and investor relations,” the firm added.

This comes after Chief Operating Officer Vineet Jain resigned from his position last month to pursue new opportunities.

According to NSE data, V-Mart Retail has a total market capitalisation of ₹5,942.24 crore as of July 24, 2026.
