Waaree Energies, Adani Green Energy, ACME Solar: Here's how renewable energy stocks performed this week

Most renewable energy stocks declined in the week ended Friday, April 4, as US President Donald Trump imposed a 26% reciprocal tariff on Indian goods.

The benchmark indices plummeted on Friday. NIFTY declined 1.49% to 22,904, while SENSEX fell 930.67 points to 75,364.

Adani Green share price

On March 31, the company, in an exchange filing, announced that its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd, operationalised an incremental solar power project of 25 megawatts (MW) at Khavda, Gujarat. With this, Adani Green's total operational renewable generation capacity surged to 14,242.9 MW.

Waaree Energies share price

On March 29, the company inaugurated its advanced 5.4-gigawatt (GW) solar cell gigafactory plant in Chikhli, Gujarat. The facility, with a built-up area of 101 acres, is equipped with world-class high-efficiency solar cell technology.

NTPC Green share price

The renewable energy company's market capitalisation stands at ₹82,578 crore.

Premier Energies share price

Shares of Premier Energies Ltd descended 6% this week to settle at ₹876.95 apiece on the NSE, as against a closing price of ₹933 apiece on March 28.

On April 3, the company informed about the incorporation of a wholly-owned unit, Premier-Green Aluminium Pvt Ltd (PGAPL). The new subsidiary will be involved in the manufacturing of aluminium frames and other related products.

"PGAPL is incorporated with an authorised share capital of ₹10,00,000 (Rupees Ten Lakh Only) divided into 1,00,000 (One Lakh) equity shares of ₹10 (Rupees Ten Only) each. The entire paid-up share capital will be held by the company," Premier Energies said in a regulatory filing.

ACME Solar share price

Shares of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd rose 0.39% in the week ended April 4 to ₹192.5 apiece on the NSE, against the closing of ₹191.75 apiece on March 28.

On April 3, the company secured a ₹2,491 crore long-term project facility to refinance its existing debt facilities and reduce the financing cost of its 490 MW operational renewable energy projects in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab.
