Waaree Energies, ACME Solar, NTPC Green, Adani Green and more: How renewable energy stocks performed on Dec 11

Renewable energy stocks: Shares of companies providing renewable energy solutions traded mixed on Wednesday. Waaree Energies, Premier Energies, KPI Green Energy, and NTPC Green closed in positive territory.

The share prices of Adani Green Energy and ACME Solar Holdings settled in red.

NTPC Green Energy share price

The surge in stock price comes after the company's wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited won a 500 megawatt (MW) solar project from Solar Energy Corporation Of India (SECI).

"NTPC REL secured 500 MW of solar power capacity at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh. As per the terms of the tender, the company is required to set up an Energy Storage System of 250 MW/1,000 MWh along with the contracted solar capacity," the company said in an exchange filing.

Waaree Energies share price

On Monday, Waaree Energies Ltd said it had won an order to supply solar PV modules of up to 1 gigawatt capacity from a domestic company.

"The company has received an order for supply of solar modules up to 1 GW from a renowned customer engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India," the company said.

Adani Green share price

On Monday, the Adani Group had announced an investment of ₹7.5 lakh crore across sectors in Rajasthan.

While speaking at the Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024, Adani Ports and SEZ Managing Director Karan Adani said half of the total investment will be made in the coming five years.

"Adani Group plans to invest over Rs 7.5 lakh crore across various sectors of the state economy," he said.

Premier Energies share price

The market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹59,682.53 crore.

ACME Solar Holdings share price

The stock traded in red, declining 1.14% to ₹268 per share, on the NSE. It fell as much as 3.17% intraday.
