Top gainers and losers on June 19: Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance fall over 2%; check full list

SUMMARY

Tata Consumer Products was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 2.14% to close at ₹1,088. Eicher Motors (1.71%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.58%), Wipro (1.30%) and Dr Reddy's Labs (1.27%) were also among the gainers.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index dropped 1.99% or 365 points to close at 18,013.

The Indian equity benchmarks ended Thursday's rangebound session marginally lower dragged down by losses in index heavyweights like Infosys, Bajaj Finance, State Bank of India, Tata Consultancy Services and Adani Ports. For most part of the day, SENSEX traded in a range of 393 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 24,863 and low of 24,733. The SENSEX ended 83 points lower at 81,361.87 and NIFTY50 index declined 19 points to close at 24,793.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

As many as 33 shares in the NIFTY50 index ended lower. Adani Ports was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 2.52% to close at ₹1,338 after Israel-Iran conflict entered seventh day and Iran struck Israeli stock exchange building in Tel Aviv raising fears that Iran could attack other important commercial sites like ports.

Adani Ports owns a majority stake in Haifa Port in Israel.

Bajaj Finance (-2.29%), Shriram Finance (-2.08%), Tech Mahindra (-1.91%) and Adani Enterprises (-1.83%) were also among the losers.

On the flipside, Tata Consumer Products was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 2.14% to close at ₹1,088. Eicher Motors (1.71%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.58%), Wipro (1.30%) and Dr Reddy's Labs (1.27%) were also among the gainers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index fell 1.63% or 949 points to close at 57,160. As many as 93 shares in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index ended lower.

IREDA was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.3% to close at ₹158. Supreme Industries (-4.22%), Adani Total Gas (-4.14%), RVNL (-4.11%) and LIC Housing Finance (-3.78%) were also among the losers.

On the other hand, Vishal Mega Mart was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock advanced 1.73% to close at ₹125. Biocon (1.46%), Jubilant FoodWorks (0.37%), Apollo Tyres (0.36%) and Oil India (0.07%) were also among the notable gainers.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index dropped 1.99% or 365 points to close at 18,013. As many as 94 shares in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index ended lower.

Brainbees Solutions was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock fell 6.25% to close at ₹347. Inventurus Knowledge Solutions (-5.54%), Cyient (-5.27%), Reliance Power (-5%) and IFCI (-4.64%) were alsoa among the laggards.

On the contrary, Aegis Logistics was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 3.94% to close at ₹805 on the back of heavy trading volumes. Trading volumes in the shares soared by over 11 times to 28.75 lakh shares against average trading volume of 2.54 lakh shares.

Redington (1.15%), RK Forgings (0.30%), Aster DM Healthcare (0.22%) and PCBL (0.17%) were also among the notable gainers.
