Top gainers and losers on December 10: IndiGo, Eternal, Trent fall over 1.77%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks ended lower for a second straight session on Wednesday, December 10, dragged down by losses in index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Eternal, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services. The SENSEX fell as much as 353 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday low of 25,734.

The SENSEX ended 275 points lower at 84,391 and NIFTY50 index dropped 82 points to close at 25,758.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

InterGlobe Aviation was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 3.17% to close at ₹4,810 after Civil Aviation Minister asked for a 10% cut in planned IndiGo flights to help restore order at India's biggest airline, which cancelled thousands of flights nationwide after failing to plan for tighter safety regulations.

Eternal (-3.09%), Trent (-1.77%), Adani Enterprises (-1.39%) and JSW Steel (-1.31%) were also among the laggards in the NIFTY50 index.

On the flipside, Eicher Motors was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose as much as 2.33% to hit record high of ₹7,290.

Hindalco (1.07%), HDFC Life (1.06%), Tata Steel (0.83%) and Sun Pharma (0.7%) were also among the gainers in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index dropped 1.12% or 668 points to close at 59,008. As many as 80 shares ended lower while 19 closed higher.

Dixon Technologies was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock dropped 8.52% to close at ₹12,366. BSE (-4.91%), Persistent Systems (-4.4%), ITC Hotels (-4.28%) and One 97 Communications (-3.92%) were also among the losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, AU Small Finance Bank (2.14%), HDFC AMC (1.92%), SRF (1.15%), Cummins India (1.14%) and Godfrey Phillips (0.97%) were top gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index declined 0.9% or 156 points to close at 17,090. As many as 68 shares ended lower while 32 closed higher.

Kayes Technology was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock resumed decline after a day's pause in the previous session and closed 10.51% lower at ₹3,876. MCX (-5.34%), Reliance Power (-4.74%), Inox Wind (-3.72%) and Shyam Metaliks (-3.62%) were also among the laggards in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.

On the contrary, Navin Fluorine (3.8%), Brigade Enterprises (2.23%), Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals (2.18%), The Ramco Cements (1.66%) and Go Digit General Insurance (1.65%) were top gainers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
