Top gainers and losers: The benchmark indices SENSEX and NIFTY50 closed in the green on Thursday, June 25, amid buying in auto shares, as crude oil prices fell to pre-West Asia war levels.

The bourses will be closed on Friday, June 26, on the occassion of Muharram.

The SENSEX gained as much as 1.05% to hit an intraday high of 77,803.18. Meanwhile, the NIFTY50 rallied as much as 1% to touch the session’s peak of 24,261.60. However, the markets closed flat with a positive bias, as investors booked profits.

On June 25, the SENSEX rose by 109.25 points or 0.14% to close at 77,100.47, while the NIFTY50 edged higher by 34.35 points or 0.14% to end at 24,056.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY50 pack was led by InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, which closed 4.89% higher. The stock gained as global crude oil prices slipped to pre-war levels.

It was followed by Mahindra & Mahindra (3.94%), Maruti Suzuki (3.81%), Max Healthcare Institute (3.81%) and Tata Consumer Products (3.04%), which were among the other top gainers.

On the other hand, the top losers included Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (-2.85%), Hindalco Industries (-2.52%), Power Grid Corporation of India (-2.20%), Tech Mahindra (-1.50%), and Bharti Airtel (-1.46%).

NIFTY MIDCAP 100 top gainers and losers

The NSE Midcap gauge ended at 61,795.50, marking a 339.75-point or 0.55% decline.

It was dragged down by selling in the National Aluminium Company (-4.46%), Tube Investments of India (-3.49%), Supreme Industries (-3.16%), Astral (-3.04%), and Info Edge (India) (-2.95%), which were among the top laggards.

On the flipside, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (6.18%), Oracle Financial Services Software (4.65%), Ashok Leyland (4.01%), One 97 Communications (3.26%) and SBI Cards and Payment Services (2.80%) were among the top winners.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Smallcap index dropped by 88.95 points or 0.47% to close at 18,790.35 on June 25.

Its top losers were Bandhan Bank (-4.54%), Ola Electric Mobility (-3.68%), Tenneco Clean Air India (-3.59%), IFCI (-3.55%), and Delhivery (-3.36%).

On the contrary, Aegis Logistics (6.97%), Welspun Corp (3.77%), Poonawalla Fincorp (2.65%), Force Motor (2.52%) and Aditya Birla Real Estate (2.43%) were among its top gainers.
