Oil-linked stocks: With international benchmark Brent crude crossing the $100-per-barrel mark, oil-linked stocks are likely to remain in focus.

Higher crude prices could pressure oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, BPCL and HPCL if they are unable to fully pass on higher costs to consumers.

On the other hand, ONGC and Oil India could benefit from higher crude prices through better realisations.

Paint and tyre companies could face margin pressure as crude derivatives are key raw materials, while aviation stocks may see higher operating costs as jet fuel prices tend to move with crude.

The impact, however, will vary depending on companies’ pricing power, inventory levels, hedging and ability to pass on higher costs.
