Steel stocks: Shares of Tata Steel, JSW Steel, SAIL, Jindal Steel and NMDC will be in focus after the government released the draft National Steel Policy Vision 2047 for stakeholder consultation. The policy aims to increase crude steel production capacity to 604 million tonnes, per-capita steel consumption to 302 kg and steel exports to 45 million tonnes by 2047.

It also seeks to strengthen domestic raw-material security, reduce import dependence and increase the share of high-value steel in the country's output. The proposed roadmap could support long-term growth prospects for steelmakers and iron ore miners, although the impact will depend on policy implementation and demand conditions.

Brigade Enterprises: The company expects 21% growth in pre-sales this fiscal to ₹9,000 crore on strong demand for mid-income and premium homes, a top company official said.

Bengaluru-based Brigade Enterprises Ltd, one of the leading real estate firms in the country, has developed more than 300 projects in the last 40 years.

In an interview with PTI, the company's Managing Director, Pavitra Shankar, said housing demand remains strong, especially in the ₹1-₹3 crore per apartment price range.

She said the company's large township projects are doing very well in terms of sales.

PNB Housing Finance: PNB Housing Finance MD and CEO Ajai Shukla said the recent rate hike by the Reserve Bank would lead to a marginal improvement in net interest margin (NIM).

After a gap of almost four years, the Reserve Bank raised its benchmark lending rate by 25 basis points to 5.5%, making borrowing from the central bank costlier to contain inflation fuelled by the West Asia crisis.

"Some benefit will go to the lender because all of the borrowing of the lender is not on the repo rate. It is a combination of Marginal Cost of Funds-based Lending Rate (MCLR), commercial paper, refinance from National Housing Bank and non-convertible debentures," Shukla told PTI.
