The acquisition is part of a broader five-year strategic partnership valued at 1.25 billion euros between TCS and the German sports car maker.
In a regulatory filing, TCS stated that the acquisition would be executed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Tata Consultancy Services Netherlands BV.
The project will be executed jointly with Sushee Infra & Mining Limited (SIML), with Ceigall India holding a 74% share and SIML holding a 26% share in the joint venture.
On Monday, the average all-India retail prices of sugar stood at ₹63.05 per kg, 29% higher than ₹48.73 per kg a month back. The maximum retail price on Monday stood at ₹75 per kg, while the model price hovered at ₹65 per kg, according to government data.
Addressing a press conference, Indian Sugar and Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) President Niraj Shirgaokar said the prices have risen due to various factors, including speculative buying by traders and bulk consumers as well as lower production than estimated.
The floor price is at a 10.38% discount to Monday's closing share price of Hindustan Copper on the BSE.
In a post on X, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) secretary Arunish Chawla said the Government of India offers to divest 3% equity in Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) through an Offer for Sale (OFS), with an option to divest an additional 3% (green shoe) in case of oversubscription.
The OFS will open at a floor price of ₹514 per share.
According to Chawla, 10% of the offer is reserved for retail investors, with an additional 25,000 shares set aside for eligible employees.

The move is part of ABDL's broader strategy to expand its international footprint through an asset-light growth model, the company said in a statement.
ABDL, India's largest spirits exporter by volume, currently exports to 39 international markets and has more than doubled its global reach over the last two years, it added.
"Malaysia adds to ABD’s expanding international footprint, which already spans key markets across the GCC, Africa, North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and other regions. The spirits segment in Malaysia is expected to grow in the mid-teens in the coming years," it said.
In June, SoftBank sold a 3.25% stake in Lenskart for ₹2,873 crore.
In the latest transaction, Japan-based SoftBank Group, through its affiliate SVF II Lightbulb (Cayman) Ltd, offloaded a total of 4.5 crore equity shares in 22 tranches, amounting to a 2.58% stake in Gurugram-based Lenskart, as per the block deal data on the BSE.
The shares were sold at an average price of ₹641.75 apiece, taking the combined deal size to ₹2,887.87 crore.
The latest transaction brought SoftBank's holding in Lenskart down to 7.28% from 9.86%, although it remains the second-largest public shareholder in the eyewear firm.
The company also sounded optimistic about the sales in the second half and the festive season.
The new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125 comes at an introductory price of ₹1.15 lakh and ₹92,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) and are equipped with a host of new features and technologies while retaining the essence of the iconic motorcycle, the company said.
"We will be launching three new products in the next 45-days and also roll out two new brands," Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rakesh Sharma said at the sidelines of the launch.
He said that since last October, the company has launched 12 models.
Y Combinator, through its three affiliates, Y Combinator Continuity Holdings I LLC, YCS16 Holdings LLC, and YCVC Fund I LP, sold a total of 4,84,79,341 shares, or a 1.05% stake in Bengaluru-based Meesho, as per the block deal data on the NSE.
The shares were disposed of at an average price of ₹200.01 apiece, taking the aggregate deal value to ₹969.63 crore.
The sale marks the second stake reduction by Y Combinator in a new-age company in less than a week. On August 18, it had divested a 1.2% stake in fintech platform Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of Groww, for ₹1,435 crore.
Besides, the e-commerce firm has logged a more than threefold jump in its tax disputes to ₹2,071.8 crore in the financial year 2025-26, the company said in its annual report.
The Income Tax authorities had raised a demand notice of over ₹572 crore to the company in the fiscal year 2024-25, which the company has challenged in court and received a stay order.
"During the year ended March 31, 2026, the Income Tax authorities made certain additions to the taxable income declared for AY 2023-24. Consequently, a demand of Rs 14,997.38 million was raised, along with a show-cause notice for initiation of penalty proceedings under Sections 274 and 270A of the Income-tax Act, 1961," the report said.
In a statement, the company said it has "commissioned India's first portable rig for gold and critical mineral exploration."
The rigs have been deployed at two of Vedanta's flagship exploration projects in Chhattisgarh dedicated to gold and exploration of critical minerals such as nickel, chromium, and platinum group elements, it said.
The rigs -- a critical heavy duty mechanical system -- can carry out high-speed drilling up to 1,000 metres compared to the typical 300-400 metre range, without losing precious time in inter-location movement.
Critical mineral exploration demands exceptional technical expertise and deep-shaft mining capabilities, Vedanta said.
