Shares of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) jumped as much as 7.5% on the NSE as shareholders of Zee Entertainment rejected a proposal for the reappointment of Punit Goenka as director, according to a regulatory filing by the company.

Resolution number three in the AGM, which proposed the reappointment of Goenka as director, was supported by only 49.54% of the total votes cast, while 50.4% voted against the resolution.
Shares of NCC, the public sector undertaking (PSU) in the construction and infrastructure space, rallied up to 4.96% in the opening deals on Friday, November 29, a day after the firm received a letter of acceptance (LoA) dated November 28, 2024, from the Ken-Betwa Link Project Authority.
The LoA is regarding the selection of the company as the successful bidder for the EPC execution of the Daudhan Dam under the Ken-Betwa Link Project.
The total price for the contract shall be ₹3,389.49 crore (excluding GST).
Sectorally, utilities and healthcare stocks were the top gainers on the BSE. The BSE Utilities index was trading 1.56% higher at 5,795.15 levels.
The BSE MidCap index was trading at 46,108.98 levels, up 179 points, or 0.39%, while the BSE SmallCap index was trading 190 points, or 0.35%, higher at 54,972.69 levels.
