Shares of Indowind Energy, which generates green power through its wind farms, declined 4.27% to ₹22.88 apiece on the NSE.

The market capitalisation of Waaree Energies stands at ₹70,914.42 crore as shares plunge 7.68% to ₹2,468.15 apiece on the NSE.

Shares of Premier Energies were trading at ₹1,094.95 per unit, down 6.90%, on the NSE.

KPI Green Energy shares fell 4.99% to ₹389.55 a unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday, with the market capitalisation at ₹7,694.48 crore.

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) shares are trading 2.39% lower at ₹200.52 apiece on the NSE.

Shares of ACME Solar Holdings climbed 1.07% to ₹214.80 a unit on the NSE. Intraday, the stock rose up to 1.44%.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy were trading at ₹115.45 apiece on the NSE, reflecting a decline of 1.67%. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹97,281.98 crore.

Equity benchmark indices SENSEX and NIFTY rose on Wednesday due to buying in index heavyweights Infosys and TCS amid a mixed trend in global markets.

SENSEX climbed 347 points to trade at 76,186, while NIFTY climbed 0.29% to 23,092.

In the NIFTY50 pack, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Dr Reddy's were the top gainers.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), shares of Adani Green Energy fell 2.6% to ₹1,018.15 apiece.

In the BSE, it declined 2.3% to ₹1,020.25 apiece.

Waaree Energies share price declined more than 6% on Wednesday on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

On Monday, the company had received an Letter of Award (LoA) for supply of solar modules for 180 MWp from a renowned customer engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, a wind turbine manufacturer, descended 4% to ₹55.14 per unit on the NSE in lines with the other renewable stocks.

Shares of KPI Green Energy, a solar power company, were down 3.5% to ₹395.7 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Renewable energy stocks were trading in red on Wednesday. Shares of Waaree Energies, NTPC Green Energy, Premier Energies, Adani Green Energy and ACME Solar were down.
