The top gainers of the NIFTY50 index included Power Grid Corporation of India, HDFC Life Insurance Company, Bharti Airtel, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Axis Bank during the noon session on Thursday, September 10.
The Indian benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, recovered from their intraday lows and were trading in the green zone during the afternoon session on Thursday, September 10, amid value buying and gains in media and PSU banking stocks.
At 12:53 PM, the S&P BSE SENSEX advanced by 82.49 points, or 0.11%, to trade at 74,846.72. It also recovered about 245 points from its intraday low. NSE’s NIFTY50 traded at 23,456.90, reflecting a 25.40-point, or 0.11% increase.
The top gainers of the NIFTY50 index included Power Grid Corporation of India, HDFC Life Insurance Company, Bharti Airtel, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Axis Bank.
On the flip side, HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) and JSW Steel were among the top losers.
Shares of oil-linked companies, including upstream producers such as ONGC and Oil India, downstream oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil Corporation, HPCL and BPCL, as well as paint, tyre and aviation stocks, were in the spotlight on Thursday, September 10, after crude oil prices crossed the $100-a-barrel mark.
The surge came as fighting between the US and Iran escalated, raising concerns over further supply disruptions and higher energy costs for consumers and businesses worldwide.
Brent crude, the international benchmark, climbed above $100 a barrel after attacks on oil facilities and ships in the Middle East threatened to disrupt an already strained supply chain further. The benchmark continued to trade just above the $100 threshold in US trading, with prices last reaching these levels in July.
Dilip Buildcon shares soared as much as 12% to touch an intraday high of ₹439.70 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, September 10, after the company bagged an order from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
The company said it has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for authorisation to lay, build, operate or expand a petroleum and petroleum product (LPG) pipeline from Paradip, Odisha, to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The project is worth ₹1,800 crore.
“The Project entails the grant of an exclusive license by PNGRB to act as the authorized entity for the development of “pipeline” infrastructure for the transportation of LPG, including financing, construction, and operation of the same, and to levy and collect tariff for the transportation of LPG up to the designated delivery point for an operation period of 25 years after a construction period of 3 years,” Dilip Buildcon said in a regulatory filing.
The stock of Redington surged as much as 6.7% to hit a 52-week high of ₹403.25 per equity share on the NSE, as the new edition of the ultra-premium iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available in India from September 18 at a starting price of ₹1,64,900 and ₹1,79,900, respectively, the tech major said on Wednesday.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in four colours - black, silver, glacier, and an all-new burgundy.
"iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage capacities. Available in burgundy, glacier, silver, and black, iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 and iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,79,900," the company said in a statement.
Shakti Pumps shares jumped as much as 12.1% to touch the session’s peak of ₹524.45 per unit on Thursday as investors reacted to the ₹236 crore pump supply order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd.
“We would like to inform you that Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for 10,000 Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) pumps,” the company informed the stock exchanges on September 9.
Exchange data showed that this Maharashtra order update of nearly ₹236 crore represents about 27% of Shakti Pumps’ existing April to June quarter FY27 consolidated revenues, indicating future revenue gains in the upcoming quarters.
Ather Energy stock rose as much as 4.3% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,648.60 per equity share on Thursday’s market, as investors focused on a positive outlook from global brokerages and the potential for the company’s latest launch, Konarc, to power growth momentum in the upcoming period.
Experts predict that the company’s new product offering, Konarc, can potentially power further growth amid key support from customer demand, higher oil prices, and favourable government policy measures due to India’s EV push.
At the end of August 2026, Ather launched its new mass-market scooter named Konarc, which is built on the new EL platform featuring its fifth-generation in-house Bedrock battery pack, which has a 10-year/1,00,000 km warranty.
Shares of Enviro Infra Engineers advanced as much as 4.4% to hit an intraday high of ₹215.74 apiece on September 10, as the company’s step-down subsidiary, Suyog Urja, bagged an order from Tata Power Renewable Energy for a wind EPC project.
Suyog Urja Limited (SUL) received a letter of intent (LOI) for the execution of EPC turnkey works for the development of a 180 megawatt (MW) NTPC Wind Power Project at Parli, Maharashtra.
The LoI has a contract value of ₹224.19 Crore (including GST) and is expected to be executed by March 31, 2027, according to a regulatory filing dated September 9.
The stock of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) rose as much as 1.7% to reach the session’s peak of ₹3,055.50 per equity share as the company said it received the Reserve Bank's approval for enhancing its stake in four banks, including Kotak Mahindra Bank, up to 9.95%.
The other three lenders include CSB Bank, DCB Bank and AU Small Finance Bank, according to a regulatory filing dated September 9.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), through different letters dated September 8, 2026, permitted ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Ltd (applicant) to acquire an aggregate holding of up to 9.95% of the paid-up share capital or voting rights in these banks, ICICI Bank, the parent entity of the fund house, said.
IRB Infrastructure Developers shares jumped as much as 8% to touch an intraday high of ₹20.6 per unit on September 10, after the company reported a 25% increase in its toll revenue to ₹807 crore in August on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The firm’s toll revenue in August 2025 was ₹646 crore, IRB Group said in a regulatory filing.
The revenue performance reflects sustained traffic growth across the group’s assets, along with the impact of the tariff revision implemented at the beginning of FY27.
IRB MP Expressway, which comprises the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH4), contributed the highest toll revenue of ₹172 crore to the total collection in August 2026, up from ₹145 crore a year ago.
The stock of PC Jeweller advanced as much 3.5% to hit an intraday high of ₹14.35 per equity share, before falling into the red zone. This comes as the company disclosed that it has successfully cleared and repaid all its outstanding debt under the terms of Settlement Agreement dated September 30, 2024, with respect to one more bank.
With this successful clearance of debt, the company has now repaid all the outstanding debt of 11 out of the 14 consortium banks, with all repayments completed ahead of scheduled due dates, according to a regulatory filing.
Furthermore, the company has discharged more than 96% of the outstanding debt of the remaining 3 banks as well, it stated, adding that it remains firmly on track to discharge the remaining less than 4% of the outstanding debt of the remaining three banks and achieve a debt-free status in the current month (September) itself.
