Benchmark indices NIFTY and SENSEX advanced on Friday, June 12, following a rally in global markets and a drop in crude oil prices amid a possible US-Iran peace deal.
The SENSEX jumped 1,202 points to 75,035, while NIFTY50 climbed 1.43% to 23,492 at 1:57 pm.
From the NIFTY firms, Shriram Finance, InterGlobe Aviation, Bajaj Finance, L&T, HDFC Bank, Jio Financial Services Eternal, Titan, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and were among the biggest winners.
ONGC, Tech Mahindra, Power Grid, Coal India, SBI Life, Bajaj Auto, Tata Consumer Products and Dr Reddy's, among others, were laggards from the pack.
"This price revision is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures," the company said in a regulatory filing.
"The extent of the price increase will vary across models and variants, ensuring that the overall value proposition of each offering is maintained," it added.
The initial public offering was subscribed 53.68 times. It had set a price band of ₹42 to ₹45 per equity share.
The IPO comprised entirely an offer for sale of over 3.08 crore equity shares by promoters.
In an exchange filing on Friday, the IT and consulting company said that it has expanded its collaboration with Oracle by launching India’s first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Center of Excellence (CoE) in Kolkata.
The new facility will help organisations shape the next wave of AI-powered enterprise transformation, the company said.
This comes after a drop in Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, slipped 1.62% to USD 88.92 per barrel after US President Donald Trump declared that the deal to end the war with Iran is nearly complete.
"Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening," Trump said on the Truth Social platform.
