Benchmark indices NIFTY and SENSEX were trading in the negative territory on Friday, October 3. The NIFTY50 declined 0.11% to 24,809, while SENSEX dropped 62 points to 80,920 at 12:33 pm.

However, Tata Steel, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Power Grid, Kotak Mahindra Bank, BEL, Axis Bank, and Bharti Airtel were among the gainers.

Here's a look at buzzing stocks on October 3, 2025

  • L&T share price: Shares of the EPC major climbed as much as 0.92% to ₹3,704.2 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). This comes after the company's buildings and factories (B&F) vertical secured major orders in the range of ₹5,000 crore to ₹10,000 crore. The firm said it bagged an order from a reputed MNC from a leading IT park with a development of 5.9 million square feet on a lump sum turnkey basis at Bengaluru. It will be delivered in two phases. It also won an order from a developer in Mumbai to construct a mixed-use development project.
  • Waaree Energies share price: Solar PV maker Waaree Energies' shares soared as much as 4.1% to ₹3,469 apiece on the NSE after the company's board approved capital expenditure of ₹8,175 crore to increase capacity across segments. The board gave its nod to increase the capacity of the Lithium Ion Advanced Chemistry Storage Cell and BESS manufacturing facility from 3.5 GWh to 20 GWh at an additional capex of ₹8,000 crore. The board also approved the expansion of the electrolyser manufacturing plant capacity from 300 MW to 1000 MW and the inverter manufacturing plant capacity from 3 GW to 4 GW, at a cost of ₹125 crore and ₹50 crore, respectively.
  • Atlantaa share price: The stock rose 20% to ₹55.65, its upper circuit level, on the NSE. This comes after the company, on September 30, bagged a ₹2,485 crore order from IRCON International for construction of “Bhandara - Gadchiroli Access Controlled Expressway in the State of Maharashtra on EPC Mode - PACKAGE BG-03 from km 34+750 Sarandi Bk, Tq. Lakhandur, Dist. Bhandara to km 69+536 Kinhi, Tq. Bramhapuri, Dist. Chandrapur (Total Length - 34.786 km)".
  • Sammaan Capital share price: Shares of the financial services company are trading 3.36% lower at ₹163.89 per unit after Abu Dhabi-based investor Avenir Investment RSC, an affiliate of International Holding Company, agreed to buy a 43.46% stake in the company for USD 1 billion. The lender, earlier called Indiabulls Housing Finance, will be raising the capital by offering preferential shares to Avenir after receiving requisite approvals, the non-bank lender said on October 2.
  • Canara Bank: Shares of the state-run lender jumped 1.87% to ₹126 per unit after its subsidiary Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company Ltd received approval from SEBI for the updated draft red herring prospectus (UDRHP) on October 2, 2025.
