Benchmark indices SENSEX and NIFTY skyrocketed on Monday, October 27, in line with a sharp rally in global markets, as a softer-than-expected US inflation report has reignited hopes of Fed rate cuts. The expectations of a US-China trade deal also added to the markets' optimism.

NIFTY reclaimed the 26,000 level. It surged as much as 0.81% to 26,104.2. The SENSEX was trading 0.8% higher at 84,883.83 at 12:15 pm.

From the NIFTY pack, SBI Life, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Grasim, Hindalco and Tata Steel were among the major gainers.

However, BEL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, ONGC, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Mahindra & Mahindra and Max Health were among the laggards.

Buzzing stocks on October 27, 2025

  • SpiceJet share price: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet said that it will operate 250 daily flights during the winter 2025 schedule, which is a sharp increase from 125 daily flights from the summer schedule. "The airline expects to reach this peak of 250 daily flights once all 19 leased aircraft have been inducted into its fleet and joined operations in the coming weeks," it said. The stock is up 2.44% to ₹39.12 on the BSE.
  • Reliance Industries share price: The company's shares were trading at ₹1,481, reflecting an increase of 2%, on the NSE. This comes after Reliance Intelligence Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of RIL, incorporated Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd (REIL). Reliance will hold 70% in REIL, while Meta Platforms Inc's Facebook Overseas will hold a 30% interest in the AI venture. The two companies have committed an initial investment of  ₹855 crore in the AI venture.
  • Knowledge Marine share price: Shares of the dredging and marine engineering services provider rose 5.68% to ₹2,401.8 after it announced that it has secured ₹385.76 crore letter of intent (LoI) from VO Chidambaranar Port Authority for "hiring of 1 No. 60 Ton Bollard Pull capacity Electric Tug under Green Tug Transition Program (GTTP) compliance Battery operated Electric Green Tug (“60 Ton Green Tug”) along with Manning, Operations, Maintenance and complete Technical Management at VOCPA."
  • PN Gadgil: The stock was down 1.72% to ₹659.85 on the NSE desite the jewellery firm announcing that it recorded festive season sales of ₹606 crore during Diwali, reflecting a 74% growth compared to the previous year. Dhanteras itself contributed ₹277 crore, which is the company's highest-ever single-day festive sales.
  • Vodafone Idea share price: Shares of the telecom operator rose 4.57% to ₹10.06 after the Supreme Court permitted the Central government to consider the telco’s plea for quashing DoT's additional adjusted gross revenue demands for period up to 2016-17. "No reason why Centre should be prevented from reconsidering the issue," said the top court.
