The Indian stock market was trading flat up during the afternoon session on Thursday, July 30, amid rising crude oil prices and a rally in IT stocks.

At 1:14 PM, the S&P BSE SENSEX was up 7.20 points, or 0.01%, at the 77,661 level, while the NSE's NIFTY50 was trading flat at the 24,252.7 level.

Redington

Redington shares rallied 18% to hit a 52-week high of ₹338.50 apiece on Thursday, a day after the official reseller of Apple products in India reported robust earnings for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27).

The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) grew more than twice as fast as revenue at ₹486 crore, soaring 77% in Q1 FY27 as against ₹275 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations increased 35% in the April-June period to ₹34,922 crore as compared to ₹25,952 crore on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, marking the highest-ever quarterly revenue.

On the operational front, Redington’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation & amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter surged 76% to ₹707 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹401 crore in the corresponding quarter for the previous fiscal year. The EBITDA margin for the quarter expanded to 2.02% in the reporting quarter in contrast to 1.55% YoY.

Mahindra & Mahindra

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) rose 3% to touch an intraday high of ₹3,327 apiece as the auto major reported its Q1 FY27 earnings.

NSE filings showed that Mahindra & Mahindra’s consolidated net profits (attributable to the owners) surged around 34% to ₹5,454.54 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, in comparison to ₹4,083.32 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the revenue front, the automaker’s revenue from core operations advanced around 27% to ₹57,533.44 crore in the June quarter, compared year-on-year (YoY) with ₹45,435.88 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

KPIT Tech

KPIT Technologies shares declined as much as 8% to touch an intraday low of ₹587.50 apiece, a day after the software company reported mostly in line earnings. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹117 crore for Q1 FY27, declining 28% sequentially from ₹163 crore in Q1 FY26.

The company’s revenue from operations slipped 2% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis to ₹1,675 crore during the quarter under review, compared to ₹1,711 crore in the March quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q4 FY26).

In constant currency (CC) terms, the revenue declined 3.6% on a QoQ basis. In dollar terms, the Q1 FY27 revenue stood at $176.8 million.

The Pune-headquartered software company, in an investors' presentation, highlighted decent growth in the US geography, along with progress in its after-sales and vehicle engineering and design practices. It also noted healthy traction in its products and solutions segment. Read more
Waaree Energies

Shares of Waaree Energies declined more than 6% on Thursday, July 30, as investors focused on the company’s margin contraction in the April to June quarter of the financial year 2026-27, despite an overall healthy growth in earnings.

Waaree Energies shares crashed as investors' sentiment was dented due to the contracting EBITDA margin of the company amid rising expenses in the June quarter.

Data further showed that the company recorded a massive surge in its input materials costs, which in turn weighed down the margins of the solar panel manufacturer in the period under review.

Waaree Energies recorded a 63.5% surge in its cost of materials consumed (input costs) to ₹4,843.93 crore in the April to June quarter of the financial year 2026-27, in comparison with ₹2,962.43 crore in the same period a year earlier, as per the consolidated financial statements.

Gillette India

Gillette India shares fell as much as 3% to touch an intraday low of ₹7,668.50 apiece on Thursday despite the company reporting a positive quarter.

The personal care company reported a 9% jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹159 crore for Q1 FY27. It has seen a net profit of ₹146 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹17,341 crore in Q1 FY27 in contrast to ₹15,757 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year, marking a growth of 10%.

On the operation level, Gillette India’s EBITDA rose 9% to ₹228 crore in the reporting quarter as against ₹210 crore in Q1 FY26. The margin contracted marginally to 29.12% in Q1 FY27 in contrast to 29.7% YoY.

Balkrishna Industries

Shares of the country's leading tyre maker advanced as much as 10.28% to hit an intraday high of ₹2,295 after the company's net profit rose 50% to ₹432 crore in the first quarter of current financial year from ₹287 crore in the same period last year.

The company's revenue from operations advanced 25% to ₹3,445 crore from ₹2,760 crore.

Adani Ports

Shares of the Adani Group firm fell over 3% to touch an intraday low of ₹1,661.30 as the firm’s Q1 earnings failed to cheer the investors.

Adani Ports and SEZ reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,620 crore for Q1 FY27, marking an increase of 9% from ₹3,315 crore logged in the same period last year. The country's largest private port operator’s revenue from operations grew 19% to ₹10,821 crore in the June quarter, as against ₹9,126 crore registered in the year-ago period.

Adani Ports' operating profit, also known as EBITDA, jumped 19% to ₹6,540 crore as compared to ₹5,495 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Its EBITDA margin, however, expanded marginally to 60.4% in the reporting quarter from 60.2% in Q1 FY26.

HFCL

HFCL shares declined 4.4% to an intraday low of ₹184.98 apiece on Thursday. The company had bagged an order worth ₹441.53 crore ($46.13 million).

The export order secured includes a supply of optical fiber cables, through its overseas wholly owned subsidiary, from a renowned international customer.

The international order is expected to be completed by January 2027.

“This significant order reaffirms the trust our global customers place in the company's manufacturing capabilities, technological excellence and product quality,” HFCL said in a regulatory filing.

Exide Industries

Exide Industries shares gained 5.5% to hit a 52-week high of ₹459.90 as the company’s net profit jumped 28% to ₹351 crore in Q1 FY27 as compared to ₹275 crore seen in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Its revenue from operations came in at ₹5,528.4 crore in the reporting quarter, registering a growth of 18% as against 4,695 crore YoY.

Its EBITDA increased 15.5% to ₹621 crore in Q1 FY27 as against ₹528 crore seen in Q1 FY26. The margin, however, contracted marginally to 11.2% in contrast to 11.5% on a yearly basis.
