One of India’s largest automakers, Mahindra & Mahindra, on Thursday, July 30, declared its April to June quarter earnings report for the financial year 2026-27, where the firm recorded strong growth in Q1 net profit and revenues due to healthy auto sales support in the period.

NSE filings showed that Mahindra & Mahindra’s consolidated net profits (attributable to the owners) surged around 34% to ₹5,454.54 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, in comparison to ₹4,083.32 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the revenue front, the automaker’s revenue from core operations advanced around 27% to ₹57,533.44 crore in the June quarter, compared year-on-year (YoY) with ₹45,435.88 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

After the automaker’s Q1 earnings report, M&M shares surged 3.2% to touch their intraday high of ₹3,327 apiece on Thursday’s market, compared to ₹3,221.80 apiece at the previous equity market close, according to NSE data.

Latest auto sales report

On July 1 2026, Mahindra & Mahindra recorded a 28% growth in its passenger vehicle sales to 60,393 units in June FY27, from 47,306 units in June FY26, according to the NSE filing.

The data also showed that commercial vehicle sales under the “LCV<2T” category surged 36% YoY in June, while the “LCV-2T to 3.5T” category sales surged 35% YoY in the same period.

Mahindra’s three-wheeler sales recorded a 63% growth to 13,820 units, from 8,454 units in June 2025.

M&M’s total exports surged 125% to 5,918 units in June 2026, from 2,634 units in June 2025, as per the exchange data.

Mahindra & Mahindra share performance

Mahindra & Mahindra shares have delivered more than 337% returns on their investments in the last five years, over 121% gains in the last three years, and more than 1.2% returns in the past one year, according to NSE data.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the company’s stock has lost 13.6%, but has risen nearly 6% in the last one-month period. The exchange data also showed that the shares were trading 0.6% higher in the last five sessions.

M&M shares surged to a 52-week high of ₹3,839.90 on January 5, 2026, while the 52-week low was at ₹2,896 on March 16, 2026. The automaker’s market capitalisation (m-cap) was at over ₹4.07 lakh crore as of the trading session on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
