Mishra Dhatu Nigam shares surge 12% to hit 52-week high on securing S400 approval from GE Aerospace

Mishra Dhatu Nigam (Midhani) shares jumped 12% to hit a 52-week high of ₹456.60 apiece on Thursday, August 13, as the firm secures S400 approval from GE Aerospace.

Midhani said it has become the first company in India to secure Independent and International Metallic Material Laboratory (S400) approval for a wide range of chemical, mechanical and metallurgical testing from GE Aerospace.

“This prestigious recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, technical excellence, and global standards in metallic material testing and qualification. We extend our sincere gratitude to GE Aerospace for their confidence and collaboration, and to our dedicated team whose expertise and commitment made this achievement possible,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

Mishra Dhatu Nigam Q1 results

Mishra Dhatu’s consolidated net profit increased 23% to ₹16 crore in the first quarter for the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27) as compared to ₹13 crore reported in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The Hyderabad-based company's revenue from operations jumped 41% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis to ₹239 crore in the April to June quarter as against ₹170 crore seen in Q1 FY26.

Its operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), surged 10% to ₹37 crore as against ₹33 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Its EBITDA margin contracted to 15.27% in contrast to 19.47% in the year-ago period.

The mini-ratna defence PSU has achieved a turnover of ₹239.49 crore during the reporting quarter, registering a growth of 40.46% against the turnover of ₹170.50 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Midhani’s value of production (VoP) during the quarter stood at ₹260.36 crore, with a growth of 7.9% against the VoP of ₹241.29 crore in the same quarter of FY26.

The order book position of the company as of July 1, 2026, stood at ₹2,329 crore.

Mishra Dhatu share price trends

At 2:50 PM, Mishra Dhatu shares were trading at ₹444.25 apiece on NSE, surging 8.76%.

Over a month’s time, the stock has jumped 8%, while it has climbed 23% in the past six months. From the beginning of the year, Mishra Dhatu shares have rallied 31%.

According to NSE data, as of August 13, 2026, Mishra Dhatu has a total market capitalisation of ₹8,282.30 crore.
