KPI Green Energy share price up nearly 4% on 1:2 bonus issue announcement

KPI Green Energy bonus issue: Shares of renewable energy company KPI Green Energy rose nearly 4% on Monday, November 18, after the company announced bonus equity shares in the proportion of 1:2.

The stock was trading 3.86% higher at ₹780 per share on the NSE at 1:15 pm. The market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹10,251.44 crore.

The increase in share price comes after the company announced one bonus equity share for every two existing equity shares held by the shareholders of the firm.

"We wish to inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held today i.e. November 14, 2024...at the registered office of the Company, wherein Board of Directors, inter alia, has considered and recommended issue of Bonus Equity Shares in the proportion of 1:2 i.e. 1 (One) bonus equity share of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) each for every 2 (Two) existing equity share of Rs 5 (Rupees Five) each fully paid up, held by the shareholders of the Company as on the record date, subject to the approval of shareholders through Postal Ballot," the company said in an exchange filing.

The record date will be announced after the approval of shareholders through a postal ballot.

KPI Green Energy Q2 results

KPI Green Energy reported a 101% jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹69.83 crore in the three-month period ended September 2024 compared to ₹34.74 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations increased 67.2% to ₹359.67 crore in Q2 FY25 as against ₹215.06 crore a year back.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation rose 86.6% to ₹134.4 crore in the latest July-September quarter compared to ₹72 crore in Q2 FY24.

The company had also declared an interim dividend of ₹0.20 per equity share having a face value of ₹5 each. The record date for payment of interim dividend was November 14, 2024.
