8th Pay Commission: Memorandum submission deadline extended to May 31, 2026 from April 30

The deadline for submitting representations to the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) has been extended till 31 May 2026, giving employees and associations additional time to submit their demands and suggestions.

As announced on the official 8th CPC website, “Last date for submission of responses to 8CPC Memorandum extended upto 31.05.2026.”

The Commission is inviting memoranda and representations from a wide range of stakeholders, including Central Government employees (industrial and non-industrial), All India Services personnel, Defence personnel, Union Territory employees, officers of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, regulatory body staff (excluding RBI), Supreme Court and High Court employees (where expenditure is borne by Union Territories), subordinate court judicial officers, pensioners, service associations, unions, and various Central Government ministries and departments.

Eligible individuals, associations, and nodal officers can submit their responses through the official online portal in a structured format under the relevant category.

The Commission has clarified that only online submissions will be accepted, and hard copies, emails, or PDF submissions will not be considered.

The revised last date for submission is 31 May 2026 (Sunday).

The 8th Pay Commission was constituted by the Government of India through a notification dated November 3, 2025.

Its mandate includes examining and recommending changes in pay, allowances and other benefits for a wide range of personnel, including central government employees (industrial and non-industrial), All India Services, defence personnel, Union Territories staff, employees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, regulatory bodies (excluding RBI), as well as officers and staff of the Supreme Court, High Courts in Union Territories, and subordinate judiciary in Union Territories.

The Commission is expected to submit its recommendations within 18 months of its constitution and may issue interim reports if required.
