Silver Rate Today, May 20: What is the price of 1 kg 999 silver in your city?

Silver witnessing wild swings this month has declined sharply today (May 20, 2026). According to good₹eturns.in, silver price has tumbled by ₹5000 to ₹2.8 lakh per kg.

Joyalukkas: 20 gm silver bar costs ₹6,576.

eBullion: Silver of 99.99% purity is priced at ₹279/ gm, down by ₹1.11.

IBJA: On IBJA, silver 999 is priced at ₹2,64,952 per kg.

Factors influencing silver price today

As against the trend in the retail market, silver July futures on the MCX, defying trend overseas last at around 16:50 pm traded with gains of 1.37% or ₹3,691 at ₹2,73,810 per kg.

Earlier in the day, silver futures touched the day's low price of ₹2,66,850, as a stronger dollar and upbeat US treasury yields outweighed optimism around a possible peace deal between the US and Iran.

US silver futures, meanwhile, were trading with a cut of 2% at $75.89 per ounce.

Reports suggest that last week silver climbed to nearly $90 per ounce on optimism around AI-related equities as well as demand for metals in data-centre infrastructure.

Investors are now awaiting FOMC minutes of the central bank's April 29 meeting due to be released today. Alongside, they are closely looking for the upcoming US PMI manufacturing as well as services print that could give cues on the Fed's likely interest rate trajectory.
