Silver prices on Tuesday (April 21, 2026), after the auspicious festivities of Akshaya Tritiya, have tumbled sharply- falling as much as ₹10,000 or 3.42% per kg.

Why silver prices fell sharply today?

Silver prices in today's session are seen inching lower, mirroring movement in the precious yellow metal. At around 2 pm, the silver May futures traded with a cut of ₹ 1,558 or 0.62% at ₹2,50,987 per kg.

Primarily, gains in the dollar index, led to the softness in the price of the white metal.

Also, investors sentiment remains cautious as they closely keep a track of the US-Iran talks as the 2-week ceasefire is slated to end this week.

Meanwhile, US silver futures traded with decent gains at $79.1.
