Wockhardt: Shares of the pharma company surged as much as 10% to ₹1,536.40 apiece on the BSE after the company announced that its proprietary antibiotic Zaynich successfully treated a 73-year-old patient, who was battling a chronic bile duct infection.
The patient, diagnosed with bile duct cancer in January 2024, had reportedly been undergoing chemotherapy and biliary stent placement when she developed severe complications, including sepsis, liver abscess, and cholangitis. Despite over six weeks of treatment with high-end antibiotics such as cefiderocol and eravacycline, the infection persisted, precluding a critical liver transplant.

Dixon Tech: Shares of the company surged as much as 4.79% to hit a fresh record high of ₹18,819 apiece on the BSE. Last seen, the m-cap of the company stood at ₹1,12,633.55 crore.
The electronics contract manufacturer and Chinese mobile phone company Vivo will set up a joint venture for the manufacturing of electronic devices, including smartphones, a regulatory filing said on Sunday.
Dixon will hold a majority stake of 51% in the joint venture, and the rest will be held by Vivo India.
Vedanta: Shares of Vedanta slipped as much as 1.85% to ₹510.05 apiece on the BSE on Monday, December 16, ahead of its board meeting.
The company's board will meet today to consider the payment of the fourth interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the financial year 2024-25.
In September, Anil Agarwal-led mining major approved a third dividend of ₹20 per share for the current financial year, taking the total dividend payout so far for FY25 to ₹13,474 crore.

NTPC Green Energy: The stock was trading 1.5% lower at ₹141.95 on the BSE. The stock's all-time high level is ₹155.30, which was touched on December 4.
PC Jeweller: PC Jeweller shares hit a 5% upper circuit in Monday's trade at ₹18.35 apiece on the BSE. The stock was in demand on its stock split ex/record date, which is today, December 16.
