SUMMARY
NTPC Green Energy shares were trading flat at ₹144, down 0.04%, on the NSE, with a market capitalisation of ₹1,21,398.13 crore.
Shares of Adani Green Energy were down 0.85% to ₹1,188.2 apiece.
Renewable energy stocks traded mixed on Monday, December 16. Shares of Premier Energies and KPI Green Energy traded in the green.
On the contrary, Gautam Adani-led Adani Green Energy, Waaree Energies and NTPC Green Energy traded in negative territory.
In an exchange filing, Waaree Energies announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Waaree Power Pvt Ltd, will subscribe to 55 lakh shares of Ewaa Renewable Techno Solutions Pvt Ltd at a face value of ₹10 each.
"Two existing shareholders of the Target Entity, Mr. Rajjat Kumar Bothra, and Mr. Nitin Bothra, will hold/subscribe to 4,500,000 shares at a face value of ₹10 each," the regulatory filing added,
The renewable energy firm clarified that Ewaa is not a related party of Waaree Energies and that it has no investment to acquire the entity.
On December 13, the company announced that the board of its subsidiary Premier Energies Global Environment Pvt Ltd has approved the establishment of a 1 gigawatt (GW) solar photovoltaic (PV) TOPCon Module manufacturing facility.
The facility will be situated at EMC Maheeshwaram, Telangana, on leasehold premises owned by Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC).
On December 10, its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy had bagged a 500 megawatt (MW) solar power contract in the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auction.
On December 13, the company's unit, Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine Ltd, incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Sixty Nine Ltd.
