Waaree Energies share price

Shares of Waaree Energies Ltd were down 2.85% to ₹2,637 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The company, in an exchange filing on January 5, announced that its subsidiary Waaree Energy Storage Solutions raised ₹1,003 crore from strategic investors, including high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices and institutional backers. The latest fundraise was part of the ₹10,000-crore capital expenditure plan aimed at establishing a 20 GWh advanced lithium-ion cell and battery pack manufacturing unit, the company said in a statement.

NTPC Green Energy share price

NTPC Green Energy stock closed at ₹93.89 apiece, down 2.21%, on the NSE.

In a regulatory filing last week, the company informed that the "ninth part capacity of 13.98 MW out of the 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project located in Gujarat under CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, is declared on commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 hrs of 30.12.2025."

IREDA share price

Shares of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), which supports and promotes renewable energy projects, were down 0.71% to ₹143.55.

In a business performance update, the company said that it sanctioned ₹40,100 crore till December 31, 2025, up 29% as compared to ₹31,087 crore in the year-ago period. The loan book outstanding at the end was ₹87,975 crore till December 2025 vs ₹68,960 crore a year back.

Suzlon Energy share price

Suzlon Energy stock declined 0.50% to ₹53.4 apiece on the NSE. Its market capitalisation stood at ₹73,223.58 crore.

Last month, the company said that Vivek Srivastava, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – WTG Division, resigned from this position effective December 26, 2025.

Power sector outlook 2026

Meanwhile, global equity research firm Bernstein, a joint venture between AllianceBernstein and Societe Generale, shared its outlook for the power sector for 2026. The company said that it remains negative on the renewable energy sector. For solar PV, the concern until now was supply, the firm expects demand to disappoint as well.
