Waaree Energies, NTPC Green, Adani Green: How renewable energy stocks are performing on Sept 24

A majority of renewable energy stocks were trading in the negative territory on Thursday, September 24. Shares of Waaree Energies, Premier Energies, Adani Green Energy and ACME Solar Holdings were down.

In contrast, NTPC Green Energy shares were up.

Waaree Energies

The stock of Waaree Energies fell 0.48% to ₹2,500 per share on the NSE at 12:01 pm.

The company's board of directors on Wednesday approved the draft Scheme of Amalgamation of Indosolar with Waaree Energies and their respective shareholders. The objective of the amalgamation is to simplify the group structure and consolidate the assets and liabilities of the parties.

"The Scheme is, inter alia, subject to receipt of the statutory, regulatory and customary approvals, including approvals from the BSE Limited, the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, jurisdictional National Company Law Tribunal and the shareholders and creditors (as applicable) of the companies involved in the Scheme," the company said in an exchange filing.

NTPC Green Energy

Shares of NTPC Green Energy gained 0.40% to ₹95.80 apiece on the NSE.

On Monday, the company declared the commercial operation of the fourth part capacity of 6.3 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project in Gujarat's Kutch, out of 1050 MW of wind components under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project of NTPC Renewable Energy, the company's wholly owned subsidiary.

It also declared commercial operation of the first part capacity of 50.4 MW of Jamjodhpur Wind Energy Project at Gujarat's Jamnagar, out of 1050 MW of wind components under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project of NTPC Renewable Energy.

Adani Green Energy

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹1,631.50 per share on July 14, 2026, while its year's low of ₹765 apiece was recorded on January 23, 2026.

The scrip has gained 0.22% in the past week, while it lost 0.69% in a month. Year-to-date, it surged 26.62%.
