SUMMARY
Shares of India's largest solar PV modules manufacturer, Waaree Energies, ended 5.94% higher at ₹2,635 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Renewable power stocks traded in the green on Tuesday, January 14, in line with the overall market sentiment.
NIFTY50 settked 0.39% higher to 23,176, while SENSEX gained 169 points to 76,499.
"Waaree Energies Limited has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Enel Green Power Development S.r.l (Seller) on January 10, 2025 for acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Enel Green Power India Private Limited for a total amount of upto ₹792 Crores, subject to customary closing adjustments," the company said in an exchange filing.
The market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹1,01,941.74 crore.
In an exchange filing on January 11, the company said it would hold a board meeting on January 23 to consider and approve the financial results for the third quarter of the current fiscal year.
On January 8, the company announced that its wholly owned subsidiaries, ACME Raisar Solar Energy Pvt Ltd and ACME Dhaulpur Powertech Pvt Ltd, will commission an additional aggregate capacity of 90 megawatts (MW) of solar power projects in Rajasthan.
