Renewable energy stocks settled mixed on Monday, March 3. Shares of Waaree Energies and ACME Solar Holdings were down. In contrast, Adani Green Energy, NTPC Green Energy stocks were up.
Benchmark indices also traded in the negative territory. The NIFTY50 descended 0.37% to 22,043, while the SENSEX shed 245 points to 72,954 at 12:18 pm. Coal India, Reliance and IndusInd Bank were the top losers in the NIFTY50 space.
Last week, the company received an order from ABREL EPC Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Renewables, to supply 410 MW solar PV modules.
"As we advance in the renewable energy landscape, this collaboration with Aditya Birla Renewables for the supply of 410 MW of N Type TopCon solar modules is an important milestone," Amit Paithankar, Whole-time Director and CEO of Waaree Energies said in the statement.
On March 1, the company informed us about the commissioning of the fourth and last part capacity of 18.32 megawatts (MW) out of 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 (Kolayat) Solar PV Project at Bikaner, Rajasthan.
"The first part capacity of 150 MW, second part capacity of 98.78 MW and third part capacity of 32.90 has already been declared on commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 29.09.2022, 23:00 Hrs. of 30.09.2024 and 00:00 Hrs of 31.10.2024 respectively," the company said in a regulatory filing.
Earlier in the day, the Guatam Adani-led firm said yhat it has refinanced its maiden Construction Facility with outstanding of $1.06 billion taken in 2021 to develop India’s largest solar-wind hybrid renewable cluster in Rajasthan.
"The long-term financing raised to refinance its Construction Facility has door-to-door tenor of 19 years with fully amortized debt structure emulating the underlying asset life," it added.
On Sunday, the company said it has planned ₹17,000 crore in capital expenditures by 2026, with a major focus on hybrid and round-the-clock renewable capacities. The firm is also evaluating its entry into the nuclear energy segment.
